Cloud Toda passed away today in a pretty horrible way. For those that do not know, he is an rider who is paralyzed. He was practicing in a foam pit and while in the pit the bike caught fire and he was burned to death. RIP..

Holy hell thats terrible.

I just looked up his instagram....Cloud had a chance of WINNING best whip, while paralyzed, with a little bit more practice. Absolutely unreal talent.

That sucks. Once that foam lights up there's no stopping it. We've seen quite a few burning pit videos here. You would think someone who is paralyzed would have had additional measures in place to get out quick.

Very sad indeed. There was not a lot left of that bike! Terrible for Cloud and anyone who witnessed that.

Looks like spraying the foam with a fire retardant like they use on cellulose insulation would help slow that down,dunno.

Cant think of a worse way to go.

That's horrible. So sad. I was only just the other day wondering how they solved the foam pit fire issue because I remember in the very early days there were a few fires.

Absolutely horrible. The things he could do on a bike were unbelievable, and then you consider the fact he was paralyzed and it becomes legendary. RIP

As someone who has had a couple surgeries for skin grafts from burns I have no words to describe what I am feeling right now.

Never really cared much for FMX... But mad respect for the guys and what they do on a motorcycle!
