If he stays healthy, he might be the new champ! It would be really cool to see though, he deserves a championship.

I've been really impressed with Clement, and am hoping that these results are an indication that his inconsistency is in the past. It would be a great story if he ends up beating Cairoli and RV, but there's a long way to go...

He looks as fired up and confident as I've ever seen him. He's been incredibly fast and consistent so far and the next round is Trentino where he won the overall last year. I think if anyone is going to beat Cairoli for the title this year it will be him

Awesome guy. Really smooth riding style and probably the coolest instagram name ever (@mx_panda)!

No, neither will Max or Paulin. They have all been in the class for a long time racing AC. Every time they make mistakes knowing they have to ride at 100% the whole time and lose tons of points. We have already seen AC's bad race wait for Desalle's.

I'd love to see Desalle or Nagl take the championship (or JVH!) but at the moment I'm just enjoying the racing. Its been steadily getting better over the last few years in MX1 but this year with RV it's pumped everyone up.

If Desalle can get on the podium in Valkenswaard then I think he'll be in it for the long haul! The sand is perhaps his weakest area compared with Nagl & TC and then guys like Paulin, Simpson & Big Ken are normally really strong there too.

Anyone think it's time he rolled his bars forward a little? I'm sure he pulls them further back each year and its starting to look a little awkward...

A little early to say he might wrap up the title, but it's possible. I think this is the best start of the season ever for Desalle. Also noticed his state of mind changed a lot. He's allways been an introverted guy, but this season it seems to me he can relativize everything that happens. Heck, he even smiles now and then. If he doesn't lose too many points in GP's as Valkenswaard and he stays healthy, I think he can be a major threat for Cairoli and the rest.

He can keep Tony honest but Tony's tradecraft can't be overcome. Tony will take it if he stays healthy by 1 point if he has to.

I recall some loony on here saying Desalle was no where near the same league as RV. LOL!

Been rooting for Desalle since his Honda days. Very untraditional racer with plenty of skills. He needs to stay off the ground though. Always a couple of spectacular crashes from him during a season. And most of them on jumps.
