You’ve opened one?

You know the skill level of the O.P.

You know the O.P. Reason for wanting the bike?

So sick of wannabe test guys claiming “worst bike ever”...

That’s a fair price for the condition. Looks almost mint.

Worst bike ever? Lol...wtf? Either you're kidding or on meds. So, the 1997 version of this bike is better in your opinion? Some people's kids.

Never said it was the best bike ever. That RC motor was not great. Just a clean and fairly priced 2007 Honda CR250. Can't deny it's beauty or rarity as the last CR250 2 stroke. If you don't get that, than I'm sorry... can't help you.

Trying to get hurt?

Worst bike ever?

Gimme some of what you're smoking bec you're seriously out to lunch, this last gen CR250 from 02-04 and 05-07 was one of the best 250 2 strokes ever made if you rode it properly like a big 125. It handled like a 125 and had a powerband like a 125 with 250cc power. Little soft on the bottom end but once you got that bike singing and kept it singing, it was unreal how good it was.

This to the T,I owned a 06 a few years ago. Seriously one of the smoothest bikes I have ever owned. Granted on bottom it lacked but there were ways around that. The only problem i ever had with that bike was my decision to sell it.

THIS!!!!! Best handling smoker I've ever owned. I did a little head work, V-force and the motor cam to life... Even on bottom. Biggest regret I have about bike is selling my '05! I have a YZ now and its OK, it has EVERY option you could want for off-road, over 5K worth of add-ons but I would trade it for a clapped out 05-07 if I could find one in my area....

One of my favorite biked I have ever ridden was my in-law's 06 CR250. I would own one in a heart beat, but I wanted brand new so I bought my TC when I did.

Agree. It is unreal how good those bikes are. Have an 03 & an 07 with mods.. They actually have more bottom end power than a 06 YZ250 & 06 RM250 that I also own. No need to ride either one like a 125.. As far as the chassis, Honda hit a bulls eye & got it right with the 3rd gen AF CR2.. Best handling bike bar-none ridden in 4+ decades of mx..

Personally I prefer the 03 engine over the 05-07. It really depends on how you judge or view as being better.

I also thought the 02-04 engine was better, but it's definitely a pro style engine. Endless top end.

I rode a 06 cr250 on a Friday night track. Pal said to take it easy. That cr has a awesome feel to it, works bike feel to it. Vforce is great and on a dyno. Trust me Rad valve improves low to mid, gets going out of corners much quicker. Icat works great on a rc valve 04 cr125. I would think the 250, would be much snappier, helps with jetting also. Like not having to change a 1/2 step leaner needle, etc. carb can b a pain to get at.

Yeah 6,500 is a little high, but there is more bike. Than A 70,s cr and there getting 7,500. I can,t even find a cr125 04-07. Remember the pc replica MC ported magazine test bike, very fast.

I had an 05 with a Keihin AS carb and a 50/50 mix of c12 and 91 pump or avgas. It ran like a champ and really handled great.Turned on a dime and really stable.

I've got an 07 that's not quite as clean as that one, and I wouldn't sell it for that.

Back in 04, I spent a day at REDBUD switching between my 03 450, and a friends 03 CR 250 with a vforce and a FMF pipe. I've been searching for that 03 CR250R feeling ever since that day. It was one of those days on a bike that couldn't have been more perfect on a perfectly prepped track that you might get once in a lifetime. Wringing that CR around redbud was easily the most fun I've ever had on a dirt bike.

Those CR's were/are a blast.

It's interesting to see all the positive comments ,iv got the 07 125 which iv rode back to back with 2 pals yz 125, theirs felt bit more pokey and I felt quicker on the yz's, but funny enough they said the same thing about the cr ..why does it usually feel like this when u ride other people's bikes !

Iv also got 07 250, had it a year and still not ridden it , didn't have time last year and now this virus shit going on, but after reading these positive comments , I'm chomping at the bit

That bike looks tidy and don't reckon you'd loose out if u bought it

I had a 97 before owning my 02 and its seriously not as bad as everyone says it is/was. I liked mine, granted it wasn't the best bike I've ever owned but it wasnt the worst by any means.
Not a day goes by where I don't regret selling my 02 CR250, the only bike I ever bought brand new btw. I miss that bike so much and what's worse is, I sold it to get a nearly brand new 04 CRF450. Took me a while to realize what a mistake I had made but by then it was way too late.

Spare a minute for your thoughts on this one?

Full disclosure, it's mine...And doesn't come with aluminum radiator guards. Also, here's hoping those black hoops were re-laced to OE hubs and aren't modern CRF take offs (seeing that the rear hub sprocket alignment is different)...
