I had one of these. This bike was an exorbitant collection of bad ideas. :>

Yeah,hated my 84. The IT 490 had a better power curve.

Broke a throttle cable one day and rode the last 2 laps at muddy creek with the thing stuck at 3 quarter throttle.

I rode back to truck hitting the kill button but when I turned in the cable stretched and more revs,clutch heated till the lever came ba c k to the bar and I augered into the fence and ground near the gate.

Everyone thought I was throwing a tantrum,something I never did. Took the rest of the day to get it around the pits that the bike was hung wfo.

I had one, and loved it, I really liked the 4 speed over the later 5 speed models, although they do need alot work to get them running right, they are fun bikes
