I feel the same way on them. I love the look but hate the feel.

And to ride them compare to yz rm .. it was something too ! This bike had bottom, but so strong, you feel like it was barking non stop, explosive character. Not my favorite but the 05 with Bubba will stay on my mind forever ! And on RC4 too 😅

I liked that bike. Friend had one and I picked up a similar 2004. The '03 KX changes (frame, swing arm, shock, fork, minor motor tuning, bodywork, etc.) remind me of the changes made to the '18 RMZ-450 including the darker gold fork anodizing!

Not Piru.
I believe that was "New" Saddleback

OK Gotcha. I remember the short-lived Saddleback revival. Never been there though. No lake there though right? They photoshopped that in?

Great review! Man that was in-depth.

Got my 02 KX250 in a crate from Canada for $4000 plus $500 shipping. Then had back-to-back 03 KX250's. Rode mostly mountain and desert singletrack with those machines and they were good. The 03 was a nice upgrade to the 02. Went to a YZ250 in 2006 and it was a lot better, which makes sense since it's still the same.
