Do any of you guys have this going on in your neck of the woods. My local track started doing this in the last couple years and so far it works pretty good. It's 1 guy who makes the decisions and he actually knows what he is doing and does a good job with it but it is all city funded. Of course you have to pay for practice days and all that jazz though. Just curious what others experiences are.
$5 per van/camper/truck load and you can ride all day. For another $5 you can camp out at some of the OHV areas.
In addition to that Hollister, Metcalf and Carnegie have full on racetracks that get ripped, watered etc for racing and practice days.
That is unheard of in the Northeast where I first started riding...

Excellent Parking. Copious amount of Hookups. Phenomenal.
I'm just kinda curious cause this is really a new thing for my area and basically unheard of. From what I have been told our track only lost about $10,000 last year when the city ran it. Which sounds like a lot of money until you think about other parks that the city runs. None of the generate money. All you do with a typical park is pay for it all the time. (Lawn mowing, trash pickup etc)
