That was awesome! Such a fun personality. We need more of this type of stuff. It sucks really only knowing the riders by their race results. Nice to see personality.

Thanks for posting that, I would have never seen it if not for you.

Does anyone else feel it’s a shame that there r 2 retired riders right now (RV and Dungey) who are essentially in their prime years sitting on the sidelines due to Baker burnout when they would be running 1-2 in the title chase of the SX and then National series? It’s a shame their careers were not longer....I miss seeing that immense talent

It’s not Baker’s fault those guys are retired before 30. This will be the new normal. They all have so much pressure and singular focus on the sport at such a young age now. MC said it best in an interview a couple years ago “ you have about 10 years once you are all-in” in this sport. So kids that are all-in at 14 are pretty crispy by 24. I think he’s somewhat accurate. The “10 year” theory has been around a lot longer than Jeremy. I heard that while racing in the 70’s.

I do have to disagree with you though. Bakers program takes the fun away and his riders records of early retirement prove it. Riders with long careers such as Reed, KW etc would not have lasted under Bakers rule. It’s a decision the riders made and J guess they are happy with it....maybe not. I guarantee you RV and Dungey have 4-5 years of title contention riding in them.

Seems rejuvinated since getting on the Yamaha... but I dunno if I can see him having the motivation to get in the kind of shape required to compete again.

I was thinking that myself after watching that and reading a couple of other interviews......probably just was my wishful thinking kicking in. He really doesn't have anything to prove here, but it would be waaay bad ass if he wanted to do a 100% attack for a year in the GP's on Blue.

Video just popped in my youtube suggestion, what a fun watch. AC is so funny, started being a fan watching the post-race interviews and now that. Hope he keeps them coming! Also weird to see RV on a blue bike but he seems to like it Smile

Wish my days at the office were that fun

That would be cool but theres no way, he seems so relieved to not have the pressure of racing.

I loved RV's " how much beer do I drink ?" comment lol. A comeback would be insane, but I don't see him going from happy retired life to the miserable grind of SX training. Never know MC took a couple years off and did a farewell in 06. Fill-in for Barcia????
