I know you guys will piss all over this thread because they aren't dirt bikes, but I can't wait to see my boys find these Christmas morning.

We'll eventually transition them to 2 wheels.

Anyone have any history with these Polaris 50's?

Merry Christmas.

The kids are going to be ficken stoked! It's good you added that second sentence....while they are awesome Christmas presents....there are definitely too many wheels, but you acknowledged that....and anything with a motor is a step in the right direction. Great job pops!

I was on a four-wheeler at age three and then onto a pw50 at 5. I think its a good move. They will love them

Your kids will be pumped!!!!! My first was a Suzuki 80cc quad. Loved that thing. Wrecked her right into rock. Was haulin ass. Never forget to this day. Had a blast on it. Then once I got on a pw50 I really started liking girls. Those rad n bad chics were fine back in 90s.

Wife is 110 lbs. and cruised them today. I opened the throttle limit and figure I'll get 2 summers out of them.

Good news From what I've seen resale looks good.

My first motor vehicle. Think I rode this until I was around 10 and then my dad bought a brand new 2001 KX65 for me and my brother to share and learn to ride on. We beat the crap out of that little 50, jumping it and tearing up the yard in the summer and building snow "supercross" tracks in the winter. So many memories.

I was scared to death of the 65, though! It had a clutch and gears and huge shocks. So glad I gave it a shot though, hooked ever since! I'm sure they will scream in excitement!

Awesome! Your boys will be pumped! Can't wait until my little guy (only 11 months) is on some wheels. He will be starting off on 4 as well. Make sure you put the pics/video of them cruising Christmas morning!

Great gift, get up early doors on the 25th, tell the boys you have to turn off alarm/feed the dog or some excuse and set your go-pro going, maybe hidden in the tree or something..... Makes great footage when they don't know you are filming!!!!!!!

Good machines. I have the 90 sportsman and 90 outlaw for my son and daughter. My son also has a ktm 65 but still loves tearing up the track with his sportsman. Lol. Both have been pretty trouble free. The sportsman's brakes have been a constant battle but the outlaw hasn't given me any problems in that department. Wish they were disc brakes on the front. My daughter looks like reed in that mudder at Daytona after she rides it. The sportsman is way better for keeping clean. The outlaw turns way sharper but it's also wider. Chain and sprockets are almost impossible to find. The three local polaris dealers couldn't even get them. Not sure what that is all about. Foul a local "small quad" race dealer that got them for me. Reverse is very slow on both which is a good thing. They should be great quads for you. Change the oil as soon as you can.

Thanks for the input. Any specific oil you recommend?

I can't wait for tomorrow!
