Long time lurker since the WhipIt, FreshDirt days, first time posting, so be gentle.

On Christmas Eve a good friend of mine Rob Games, who lives for MX, was on his ZX10 stopped at a red light when he was struck from behind by a hit-and-run driver. Rob suffered severe injuries and is currently in the ICU in critical condition. He is in an induced coma with multiple fractures, both arms, both hips, ribs, right leg, and spine. At this point he has moved his arms and is scheduled for surgery on his hips and right arm today.

Yea that sux's I know I was hit by a DD on my 82 xt 250 back in 83 luckly i wasnt hurt. Our prayer's will be with your bud.

Wow. There are some terrible excuses for humans out there. Hoping your friend has a positive outcome. That's a huge list of injuries.

That is terrible. Ill keep him in my prayers. I had a freind get hit by an illegal that ran. She was caught but had no insurance. He battled wit hthe recovery and finally passed away from the drugs they had him on. Sucks. I hope your pal can recover.

That's terrible. It is pissing me off the new wants to talk about why the uptick in hit & runs but won't dare mention the fact the vast majority are the illegals doing them.

Thank you to all who have donated and kept Rob in your prayers. Your generosity is so appreciated by his family and friends!

Unfortunately surgery on his hips and right arm was cancelled yesterday due to low oxygen levels when the breathing tube was removed.

Please keep Rob in your prayers!

That's horrible. They got a partial plate number, so I think they will catch the driver. It takes some time, but they can narrow it down to a list of probable suspects and then go looking for who has the smashed front end.

Is it just Florida - or is this trend happening all over? Almost every day here in Jacksonville we hear of someone hitting and running.

Wow.. praying for your friend. I was hit in 2006 by a drunk driver going 60mph on the highway. He tried to run me over to get away but a fireman pulled over and saved my life. Hopefully that scumbag is caught

I also hope they catch the scumbag...and that your friend recovers.

In Denver, there has been a rash of pedestrians being hit and ran. Haven't heard of one for a while now, but man alive, there were alot over the last year or so. I figured most involved drunks, but it could be illegals too. I'd think all the illegals gotta do is bolt for the border.

That is horrible news. He was probably enjoying a ride when the about the worst possible thing happens out of nowhere. Best of luck to him on a quick recovery.

Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and contributions. Rob's family very much appreciates your love and support during these difficult times. Rob remains in a medically induced coma in critical condition, although he has been responsive at times to family members over the past few days (He smiled when we mentioned going to Nitro Circus). The doctors are waiting for Rob's lungs to strengthen so they can perform surgery on Rob's hip and pelvis. We are all continuing to pray for Rob. Thank you again for your love and support, and please continue to help us meet our goal.
