Will honda hrc sign him for a full 450 sx/mx? Since his dad in law owns the geico team will he go back to 250 west? Will he always have a ride if he wants to race? Opinions pls.

Pretty sure he will always have a spot under the Geico tent due to the relationship you mentioned. I think the 2nd spot at HRC is still very much up for grabs so he may end up there still. But yeah, I don't think he will ever have to worry about finding a ride.

He isn’t pointed out of 250s, right? He should be good to go for next year.

Ugh! No more 250s.

The earlier and longer you are on a big bike, the better off you are at obtaining a big bike championship.

Hopefully he gets to stay on the 450 one way or another. Really seems to fit him better.

Hes better on 450 for whatever reason. He needs to move up.

He said he was looking forward to getting back on the track and competing for championships. So either he's completely delusional...or he intends to ride 250 next year.

Geico should step up a 450 program where Windham left off!

Problem is, history says that if you can’t win a title on the little bike first, you won’t win one on the big bike.

The guy ripping hole shots and running top 5 in his first handful of 450 races thinking he can compete for a championship is delusional? No. You thinking that you can climb 10 sets of steps without getting winded is delusional...Christian can win races.

Yeah, I hear ya. but I think it has more to do with getting on a big bike earlier in your career and learning it while you are still younger, like say 20-21 years old. This also gives you more opportunities at a title.

Take JA21 for example. Been on big bikes for a few years now and just now getting his first title.

Similar theory applies to proficiency classes. The quicker you jump up in class, the quicker you adapt to the faster speeds and gain confidence.

I’m sorry but I’m pretty sure they don’t award championship points for ripping hole shots(especially when you crash out of race 30seconds later) nor for “running in top 5”. I consider myself to be a big fan of CC and can’t help but root for the guy after watching the feature on him in the spectrum documentary but to suggest he’s remotely close to contending for a championship I’m sorry but i would classify that as delusional. Can he be competitive? Absolutely! But let’s temper the championship talk until after he’s won a few races.

HRC should sign Craig for the 450, and re-sign Cole Seely. Honestly if any team should have three 450 riders it is Honda, they have had such bad injury luck. Pretty sure they have the resources.

It was kind of funny how this year in SX they quickly started promoting Brayton after both K-Rex and Cole were hurt, but in the off-season I believe that Motoconcepts' deal was somewhat reduced with Honda. Before 2017 they had a big Honda media event and MC was included, but for 2018 they were not. I at least took that as Honda backing down its support of MC somewhat. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Honda needs at least 15 riders.

And pretty good chance Cole is done.

I wonder if JMart could be on the HRC 450 and CC on a Geico 450?

History has shown that's really not true, he has 1 win in 250SX. Glendale 2016

I would love to see JMart go to Kawi on the 450 with Tomac. They would be a very formidable team!

Interesting idea! I like this! That way he's not taking a spot on the factory team!
