Well, I can see why he is practicing early. He NEEDS it. I have seen turtles ride faster. He really looks like he is in slow motion even when he isn't.

A little more perspective. It was his first day on a brand new bike, also first time really doing supercross on a 450f. His lap times werent that far off the fast times on that track. Christian looks like he is going slow because he is so relaxed. He'll be a threat next year

the first 10 seconds looked ok...but, that music was the end of it. If you are going to put your videos on the interweb...skip the crappy beat.

that was Christian's first day ever on a SX track with SX suspension so whoever said he was slow needs his head checked.

the wind was blowing 25mph, the track had zero water on it he was getting used to the bike set up.

he has a big SX race coming up in about 30 days so he will not be at Loretta's. Wink

John Mitcheff is working for him so he has some good people in his corner.

needless to say, his bike will be good and we will have some new videos to put up this week from the test sessions.

Smart kid. There's no need to take chances on his 1st day. Getting some SX skills is very important. Racing LL's is a waste of time for this kid. There's nothing for him to gain by going there.

Cool. Looking forward to seeing him in action.

Here's a clue for the guys who need it...commenting on someone's speed after watching a web video is rather futile. It's sort of like trying to set a gun sight via remote camera.

When was this taken...? I saw him last week at Pala running pace with some of the top 450 national racers on a clapped looking 250... Nice to see him on a good bike.....

I've never heard of him, but I'm assuming he's one of the up and coming amateurs? If that's the case, why is he riding a 450? I'd think he'd start of on the 250s...

Mike "Stingray" Craig's kid. Mike was the 1994 Tampa SX 250 class winner for his one and only major AMA pro win.

What are Christian's big amateur wins? Just a question I have no clue, I am an east coast guy so I don't know what goes on out west in the am's. The only reason I know of him is because of his old man.

Christian's dad is an incredible instructor for us in the midsouth. He's been working with Zack Burnett for a while now and is making him quite an athlete.

He'll do fine.

for how fast he is outdoors, i think he looks sketchy and not ready to make mains in sx. but its still early, he'll have alot of time riding sx by the time sx comes around. we'll see

Watched him beat Barcia @ the world minis when they were on superminis
and i believe lead the same class at Loretta's until he took a spill while out front.
He will do well!!

he beat Barcia at Mini O's this year, if that tells you anything.

pfffttt....people watching the video say he looks sketchy. No way he's that fast.

I mean, c'mon, internet video is the bestest way to judge rider speed/skill, dontcha know?
6/15/2009 9:36am
thats why i said "for how fast he is outdoors" ... i thought he would look gnarlier on sx.
