Yup, when he gets that late race energy handled, it's over. He fell, got up and still had a couple seconds on DF

+2. Hell of a show from JL. Loved to see him check himself and put in a solid moto. Anxious to see what the future holds for him

Generational talent. Lets hope that he only got his air knocked out but that hit was very hard.

I agree, the kid has a great future; hopefully he can avoid the injury bug that plague AC when he first moved up. Jett has amazing skills for a kid his age. Nice ride and I love how he went for it; hopefully he will be ok.

100% fan here, he left it all out there and then some. Really hope he takes his time, heals up, and comes back better than ever for some serious redemption. I'd be worried as hell if I'm anyone else in the 250s, this kid is for real.

He still finished 9th, so IF he is uninjured and can make it back next weekend, he's still in it.

Second coming of Magoo?

Great ride, huge guts!!

Jett is one of the riders that I look forward to seeing every week. He has a bright future, and is in the right place under the tutelage of Dungey. It's only a matter of time before he starts clicking off wins. I'm a fan.

Great race by the young man. Wish he would have put a hard block pass on Ferrandis before that last whoop section. The Frenchman needed a hard hit back.

Awesome ride and yes I too am a fan! After passing his veteran teammate and leading for so long it looks like he gave every bit he had to win until the great get-off. Reminds me a lot of J$7 back in the day. JL is an amazing rider and once Dungey gets in his head the competition is in trouble.

Jett has a broken collarbone chaps.
I'm thinking both the Lawrence lads are out with clavicle fractures.

He should have let that one go. You could tell he was shot two laps prior. But i give the kid a ten for heart.

I’m watching the race again this morning and man I love this kid. So much style and personality and how many people can say they passed Craig in the whoops!! Once he gets his nerves and fitness down he’s gonna be hard to deal with for these other guys. Him and his bro are awesome for our sport and two of my fav riders. I really hope to see hunter in some east coast rounds but not sure it will happen

Feel bad for the kid. He'll learn. There's a reason they make sure the front wheel hits every whoop.

I've never liked jumps after whoop sections for reasons like that.

After watching again I think his fitness is fine. I’m sure it was just that little crash that spiked his heart rate that made him ride a little wild. Without that first crash there’s no way he was getting caught. He was still opening the gap right before that happened ... man I’m bummed for the kid but I see many wins in his future. Go get em kid

Gotta agree - Don't loose heart/faith. IF everything goes you way you have the potential to own this sport. Consider a long term view. Johnny O is a great coach and has an amazing history . . . keep listening to him. Right now the odds will always be against you just because of biology and your young age. Over the next few years you will be able to increase your physical strength and your Cerebral cortex will change and it will be way easier to make better decisions.

Stay away from the groupies (track snax) they are kryptonite and have been the downfall of plenty of guys with your speed

Good luck!

So if he went down and didn't finish, how did he finish 9th?
