So supposedly one of chickens bikes is for sale. I dont know though 40k. I mean it is his championship SR. But is it worth it even for a show pc?

It’s hard to gauge a dollar amount on a collectors item, its essentially worth whatever someone will pay for it. Cool bike none the less, would be sweet to have a factory SR in the living room.

If Wob is selling it, he's done his homework and it's an honest listing.

He has more connections than he could ever need to verify it and he has nothing to gain and a lot to lose by lying about it, besides the fact that he just isn't that kind of bloke.

Is it worth it? If you want it and you have the money then that's up to you.

Even if its real it's not worth 40k. I will admit I know zero about how much championship bikes sell for but the only bikes I could see going that high are a championship bike of MC, RC, or Stewart.

For a Kawasaki guy, if that is the real deal, I would think that is a pretty fair ballpark price… I wonder if Chicken still owns its? geez…guys are asking 10k for clapped out Cr500”s with spoke wraps…. It’s missing the frame mounted clutch case guard

I did look over the pics and it has all the bits i would expect to be there on a SR of that year. So I belived it to be a true SR. With doc wob on board that confirms it. The doc doesnt put his name on bullshit.

But yeah like has been said its worth what someone will pay for it and there are tons of people with more money then they know what to do with it.

It’s real. I have seen it and sat on it in person. It used to be in the Primm Museum. Same owner has RJ’s 86 cr250, 84 yz250 and Hannah’s 87 MXDN rm125 and several others.

Nothing against jeff, or the Japanese championship, but i just dont see those adding that much value to the bike, and certainly not $40k.

If I win the powerball, I will be offering that much for hannah's mxdn ride though....

For the people saying $40K is insane, keep in mind, Japan doesn't have a production rule, so that is likely a one-off full factory works bike.

Garrett Wolsink’s ‘77 USGP winning bike sold for $70k a few years ago, so yeah, I couldn’t see any of the ‘82-‘85 factory Hondas going for less than $100k.
