Anyone tracking the tropical storm? Should be sitting right over the Carolinas next weekend.

I've had tickets for months, and I'm still going, but I'm preparing to walk around in a storm all weekend, but hoping for the best.

Everything will be long gone by Thursday, and remember CLT is a long way away from the coast. Weather is calling for cooler temps and sunny for the weekend....

Yea, it's inland, but have you been tracking the storm? It's in the gulf of Mexico, hanging a right and coming across GA,SC,NC toward the Atlantic.

I live in Charlotte....yes I've been tracking the storms...I'm from Florida....It's going to be fine not headed here it's cutting across FL and then on out into the Atlantic by Thursday. The cold front that is moving south is what is keeping it away and pushing it out in the atlantic. Sunny and mid to high 80's Friday-Sunday

Mid day in August/Sept in the Southeast = hot shitty humid etc. No shade whatsoever at the venue. Any watering will evaporate right away if run mid day. I would venture a wild guess that because its a GP in the states, they are going to cater it to local conditions and attendees.

Make sense now?

Don't you blokes have DVRs? :-)

I'm a huge fan of racing but my days of getting up in the middle of the night to watch races on TV or the PC are behind me. The races will keep and I just maintain radio silence to keep from learning race results

By product of getting older? Possibly but I will go for Getting Smarter for $200 Alex

Current forecast I see says 10% chance of rain.

It's all about putting cheeks in the seats... It's basically a supercross... More people can attend during the evening local time...

I'm going ... from the promo video, I'm expecting basically a Daytona SX type experience. I've been to a top fuel event at ZMax, it's a nice facility and it's Moto, so even though it's not really MX, it should be a cool event.

Local radio weather forecast from the North Carolina News Network earlier today said most of the effects of the tropical storm should be east of I-95. That's a couple hrs east of Charlotte. But on the other hand, as hot and humid as it's been around here this summer, the random thunder storm has been a constant threat.

Originally it was supposed to be at Zmax. Now it's at the dirt track.

Thank you, sir. I didn't see anything mention a venue change. How long ago did they decide to move it?

Actually, quite a while ago. First rendering I got of the dirt track venue was on June 29.

Hopefully no rain! Can't wait for this race to see Barcia and Tomac race the best in MXGP on their home turf and Webb v Herlings ( and maybe Forkner). This is more exciting than the MXDN in some ways because it is individual and every man for himself.
