Someone posted either on here or on Twitter that they heard at Dallas Supercross, one of the outdoor Nationals was going to be dropped and another west coast venue added!
Anyone know the scoop?

Wild guess, based on what I suspect and I live 1800 miles east of So Cal so I may not be the best source.
No Glen Helen and Pala will be the new location. I bet Slo-Pro knows, but whether he can say, is another thing. I bet Jody W knows, also!
If dates change, I am screwed, as I have already made arrangements to be there on the 29th.Pinch

Some folks mentioned on the boards awhile that Glen Helen might be replaced by a different so cal venue.

There also have been rumblings of one of the northeast races shifting to the southeast. That's been rumbling longer.

None of it has elevated beyond rumors. The schedule this year seems to be set.

X2! GH should be a staple just like Monaco on the F1 circuit.

Wow.. I live 15 minutes from Pala, and I would be bummed if they moved GH to Pala..

The track is awesome, and fun to ride.. But I can't see them having a track nearly as gnarly as Glen Helen for both the riders and the fans.. It would basically be a huge SX track with everything WFO.

On the other hand, driving 15 minutes beats 2 hours any day!!

I think they are building a new track on some Indian reservation.

Why is it "they" give nationals to many "undeserving" places...

I mean here in tx...freestone would have been the LAST place a texan would have choosen...especially considering the track wasn't even built before negotiations...

Same with a new track on a reservation...

In any case...hopefully they move the freestone national...I think this year's turn out there will be, again, abysmal.

x3. Last year it was one of two tracks they let get rougher and rougher all day without fixing. Glen Helen is MX.. Like Monaco is to F1, Daytona is to nascar, The brickyard is to Indy racing , and the kentucky derby is to horses. That's what Glen Helen is to MX in my eyes.

From the post above yours:

"No GH, Pala will be Sept 11. Awards at Pala Casino so I have heard."

You may not know that Pala IS a reservation.

I don't give a shit, both are less than an hour away! Remember how they changed up GH last year and everyone complained about it? Hmmm, Glen Helen is so big and its the only so.cal race, there's a shitload of people out here that ride. O and its the 1st! There's no way it would work otherwise. That place is buzzin' on raceday, just thinkin $$$. Hangtown then _______?

I won't go this year after going the last 2. Tired of standing 3 deep and looking at the back of other peoples heads. Too flat!!

I'm pretty sure those in charge at Glen Helen just don't want to make the changes that "they" want made in the "new" nationals.

I think it runs way deeper than either of you stated. MHO, as usual.

aggie should know better.

That's a track I'd have no reservations about going to.

From everything I've been hearing Steel City will be dropped as soon as they can find a place in the southeast to hold a national. The problem they have been having is none of the tracks in the southeast are prepared for such a huge event and with the economy the way it is they are not ready to or cannot commit the money for necessary upgrades.

sounds like pala isn't a patchy on glen helen... but i never ho-pe that a track gets taken off the schedule
if a women was in comand, she would never let a situation like occur, she would have her chin-up at all times and know which-a target's she had to meet

that took waaaaaay too long write, and if you didn't find it funny..... sue me Wink

Pala looks fun, but even from video you can see there wouldn't be much spectating room, and Glen Helen is EPIC!!!

If you were gonna move or drop, I'm pretty sure the riders don't love Hangtown, even if there is a lot of history there...

Why don't they just ad something at Gatorback or somewhere south east and make it a 13 race series..
