I have a 2013 Kx250f and recently bought a new chain. I have stock gearing (13,50) and took off some links to add the new chain on. Took some off, but when I did that I noticed the chain was too short for my sprockets so I just used the chain adjuster screws and the chain fits tits, I’m fine right ? just needing reassurance because the last thing I need is a chain flying through my engine case lol

It should be fine, You may notice a bit of a handling difference depending how far forward the wheel is but as the chain stretches you’ll adjust back so it may get better with time.

Next time cut it one link long ,you can always shorten a chain, adding a link is another story...

No they still have a good 1/2 inch, and it still has its 3 fingers of play between the swing arm and the chain

Don't run it tight. Make sure it's at spec for your bike. Having a chain snap unexpectedly isn't worth it.

chains don't stretch
Lol...says the man who's never run a cheap roller chain. I own bungee cords that don't stretch as much as a cheap roller. When I went to x-ring I was amazed. Chain/sprocket life quadrupled.
