Not true it's missing Bridgestone stickers and a chain.

Seriously though that has to be one of if not my favorite bike of all time. Can't wait to see him re-live the glory days on that beast.

Very nice, it helps to have PC & Yamaha onboard for parts ...and Ozzy onboard for the build. If anybody could ride that bike to it’s potential...it’s Reedy.

Interesting with the aluminium frame that came out the year after, all three factory riders at the time Reed-Vuillemin-Ferry was very vocal about that frame was absolutely the flex etc etc. supposed to be the same as that steel frame in 04, Wich the japanese over at Yamaha claimed had everything exactly specs, Chad even asked the team if he could race that 04 frame instead but Yamaha would not allow him. But they also said in matthes pulp show those things they did not like with the new frame would the average joe notice it was particulary for them in Supercross so in the end it was probably something the highest calibers of rider could feel.

But idk back in those days Suzuki would give RC everything he needed literally withing days, wonder why they never flew Chad over to Japan and let him test that new alu frame before putting it in production , that he Chad believed was a huge setback in the whoops.

and Damn i miss the two stroke days at the factory level. BIG Thumbs down at the Japanese manufactures for discontinued their two smokers. And honestly i dont understand how they not can react that here is a market for the two strokes when they see KTM and Husky selling plenty for offroad.

I remember spy photos from Japan on their new alu frame i could not find the 250 two stroke picture but KTMMXA oops i mean MXA had one of the 125 i thought it was cool with the yamaha blue colour. Photo

'04 YZ's are some of the best bikes ever made in my opinion.

That depends on who you ask. I kept an 03 CR250 (still own) & sold the 04 YZ.

Early to mid 2000's Yamaha two strokes were the best. 125 and 250.

Nicest Yammie 2 stroke ever. Love the Chad Reed 04.

As far as production bikes go to 2003 and 2004 were identical bikes except for Suspension differences the 2004 had the larger (and one year only) 48 mm open bath works where you could use the 04 clamps to put on the newer SSS forks without any modifications .... oh and it also had bng's and a gripper seat lol.
