Ok, I'm bored to death travelling today... and it's NOT going well.

So, given the amount of weight and how out of shape Reed seems to get every time he's away from riding for any length of time, is he going to be the next Ricky in retirement? 50lbs+?

My vote is yes.

Throw it in the Dumbgeon if you like, if I see another "Delayed" beside my flight today I may lose my mind. Might have already!

I hope not.. carbs are one hell of a Drug

I don't think so. Ricky has his genetics working against him. He was overweight before 2001 and naturally ballooned up after retirement. He has to work harder than most to keep his weight down.

I'm willing to bet Chad would just rock the "dad bod" at his worst.

Hahaha this is quality content.....but to answer your question I would assume that Reed is probably built more like McGrath.

nahh. If any one has ever met or seen Reeds parents.. he will be just like his old man..
Skinny legs and the Beer belly haha
nothing wrong with that, especially being an aussie

RC has always been the more thicker build. Reed through his younger teen years was always skinny kid.
like was said earlier, Dad Bod will be more reeds attire hahaha

Chad won’t be the next Ricky. Ricky dominated his last professional race, then dropped the mic.

In that sense, nobody will be the next Ricky, because it's not even possible to be any more of a bad ass.

Cheers.

Let's all take a moment of silence for the death of every motocrosser's dream of being the best ever after Ricky Carmichael, Number 4 forever, Number 1 on the charts and in our hearts, Baggett can GTFO with his podium hoping ass runnin that number, boy I tell ya.

I digress, 10 straight fucking outdoor championships. Not one day where the epptsein barr took over, or one broken bone that was impossible to ride through mid season, or one dnf at the wrong time, or ............

How? What were we all watching, unfold before us, as a man rode a bike literally as hard as the technology would allow, beating truly great riders with seeming ease. Lapping the whole field? That's finishing 1st and 2nd broski, and everyone started on the same gate even. So I mean if you can finish first and second that is some Jesus and the Holy spirit shit. Like sitting next to the father on the throne of heaven but you are god but you aren't type stuff.

Summation: RC is RC. Reed is a whole different deal.

OHHHHh their bodies????? IDGAF

|

2/8/2018 5:34 PM

Pretty sure Ricky destroyed every competitor and the record books. If he feels good and is happy with himself....that's his deal. I didn't see his name on any beauty pageant entry lists.

The sad thing about RC is the fact that he could probably train daily for 2 weeks and drop 10-15 pounds and come out and transfer straight to the main and place higher than Reed.

Note: I do find it fitting that with all the weight that Reed has put on he chose to ride a “Husky!” His butt patch should say “Extra Husky.”

I get a little weary of the way "carbs" gets used so vaguely, as if they come in one undesirable form. At breakfast, there's a big difference between steel-cut oats and Frosted Poptarts.

Chad was never able to hold a candle to Ricky. 10 years after RC retired, CR is embarrassing himself while trying to get the all time starts record. I truly hope he DNQ's a round or 2 and quits. RC went out on top, winning. CR is going out struggling to qualify. It's fitting.

Ok, MADE IT! Ha.... Sweet jesus, what a day.

Anyway, glad everyone is getting a laugh out of this, I had to do something to get a giggle in today!

Aircraft mechanical right off the bat... then a comedy of errors...!

I still say Chad has the capacity to pack it on... maybe not the degree of Ricky at his worst, but substantially.

Ridiculous Thread Thursday! lol

Your first sentence shows you mustn't have watched the 2003 SX series.

If you have, you must be the dumbest person to learn to use a keyboard.

2003 was Chad's championship to lose and there was at least 2 races where he did just that.

You should be concerned about youself... Delayed flight, extra time on your hands and you come up with Reed packing on weight when he retires compared to Carmichael??? Dah faq were you thinking???

He looked fast as shit as the AUS X thing. I know it's not really a true supercross track but speed is speed.

I'm starting to think kids are watching random RC highlight videos on YouTube and don't realize that Reed caught, passed, and beat RC MANY times during their era together.

Not such thing. You put crap in you get cap out. Simple. I'd say Ricky is chowing down on carbs and sugar. That's not genetic at all.

No such thing? So everyone's metabolism is exactly the same? You've never seen the skinny guy who eats shit food all day or the fat guy who seems to eat ordinary sized meals?

Maybe it's something about an athlete's metabolism- but how in the hell do these guys gain weight so quickly? It's mind-blowing. I can't gain weight for trying but these dudes can get a pot belly in six months it seems like. Maybe they keep eating the way they did when they were burning a tank of gas a day.
