Hmmm. I'd like to know more about why he thinks Ping would have been taking a nap.

I would assume he’s alluding to all the manufacturers have sacrificed safety to reduce weight? Not sure if that statement is backed up by any facts that he’s privy to. I assume not. A lot of assuming going on here.

Well he can always stay away from a helmet sponsorship deal and buy himself a 15 year old one if he really thinks the helmets nowadays are worse
The only thing that was better back then were the shark fins

Did he not see Zach bell take that massive hit in a 6D a few years ago? What about Tomac in 15 when he hurt his shoulders? Ken Roczen when he came falling out of the sky and destroyed his arm? As far as I can remember all of those examples came out with little to no head injuries.

Love CR22 but unfortunately history is against him this time. Surprising since he’s old enough to know how different the helmets are.

In this instance, he absolutely is. Grinning

I guess all the slams he took in the old helmets must’ve knocked a few screws loose.

So hes saying modern helmets are more prone to causing concussions.

But at the same time, we are more reactive to the occurance of a concussion- basically we pay attention to them more now.

We didnt pay attention to concussions as much in the past, since the effects of them werent as well known.

Seems like he might not be realizing that more concussions happen in modern helmets because we are measuring the number of concussions more than we did 20 years ago.

If I was Fox I would be upset over that. I think its cool that Reed just puts whatever is on his mind out there, but sometimes all that shows is how ignorant he is.

Or maybe they are going way faster now, so when guys hit their heads, it results in more concussions?

I think there has been a lot that has changed over the last 15 years.

Maybe he is referring to the fact that modern helmets arent being Snell approved anymore. The Snell approved helmet is tested under bigger impacts than DOT or ECE. The controversy is because some helmet companies think Snell is TOO rigid of a helmet. Some think a rigid helmet is safer. Chad must think the Snell is safer
