Although not "officially announced" Chad has agreed to terms with JGR for 2020 and yes this WILL be Chad's final go around on two wheels. BTW say hello to DW15 at JGR for 2020 also!

Only according to the fans, he never said he was going to retire any of those years.
I do expect 2020 SX to be his last full season though. Even if, or when, Reed does announce that, I wouldn't be surprised if he pops up at an individual race here and there during his 'retirement'. It's cool that he still loves to race.

I wouldn't be surprised if the stubborn bastard was still ripping around at 40.

This dude must be broke. Theres a million more fun things to do than racing dirt bikes, especially if you supposedly have all this money.

How is that? RV and RD aren't racing at the elite level for a reason.
They don't need the money! Risk vs Reward isnt there anymore.

They burnt out, Chad didnt.
RD and RV spent their title years grinding it out 7 days a week. Chad spent his title years partying and living the lifestyle, mopping the floor with pretty much everyone then jumping on a private jet.

Racing is fun, if you're as fast as Chad the only place to do it to your potential is on a Saturday night in Anaheim. For us regular folk we do it in a random paddock against a bunch of other overweight slow neverwas blokes

You ever see a post that's so off base? So out of touch with reality that you can't formulate a response? Yeah, me too.

He’s far from broke. He’s not doing it for the money

Anyone who thinks Reed isnt racing for the money is delusional. You don't stick your neck in a guillotine for free.

There was a time Floyd Mayweather fought on a school yard also. Now it's not for less than 100 million plus PPV, plus a cut of the gate, a cut of the commercials, a cut of everything.

And that's where the negotiation starts. Publicly disclosed by the athletic commission his last big one payed 300.

These guys don't do shit for free. It's not a hobby anymore. Otherwise stay home. It's safer and less work.

Of course he's doing it for the money. Otherwise why have sponsors? Why threaten to quit if he has no team?

He shut his own team down because he was losing money. According to this board, that shouldn't be a problem since "He doesn't need the money"

He should tell JGR, yah, I don't need the money, so yah, lets do this for the hell of it.

How much did you earn for 5 months work this year? And is your job also your life passion? Can you afford to go on holidays for months at a time with your family?

Newsflash: None of the Pros would ride for free. Chad however, (presumably) understands that whilst he's not a Championship caliber rider anymore, he is still a big draw card. Hence, he can still pull a reasonable income whilst doing what he still loves to do.

Sounds like a no brainer to me.

Struth, if you were anymore sour, you'd turn into a lemon.
