Josh graduated from Florida State University this past weekend with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. We met several of his professors and the dean of the IT department at an honors program presented by the IT department before graduation. Surprisingly, his professors were extremely supportive of Josh's racing and strongly encouraged him to chase his dreams as long as he can.

It was graduation weekend at FSU so there were graduates everywhere taking pictures. We couldn't resist getting a few pics of him and his bike on campus.

If you've ever worked in IT you'd be telling him to race as long as he can too lmao
Congrats to Josh!

Congratulations to Josh and the whole Cartwright family. Florida State is no easy school, and to make it through while racing is a great big accomplishment. Everyone at Racer X and of course MX Sports Pro Racing is really impressed by Josh, both on and off the track.

Awesome accomplishment, college isn’t easy, I can’t imagine doing it with Josh’s travel and training schedule. Very impressive!

Met Josh in 2015 when he filled in for an injured Mike McDade on our ThermoTec/Fun Mart Yamaha Arenacross team.
We quickly became friends and I saw some amazing potential on the bike, but most of all, I was super impressed that he was following through with his schooling and college and he talked highly of it too. He never said he was doing it to make his parents happy or anything negative, and I've supported him ever since.
He'll be on the EBR/Tucker Rocky Yamaha 250 east team in '19 and he's still training down at the Goat Farm.
Hope he has a solid year, big fan here.
