Been impressed with this guy so far making both mains so far as a privateer (as far as I know anyway).

Where did he come from? Have never heard of him before this season, but hes become my underdog to root for this season.

Carlen has been crushing it. It’s awesome to have another local to pull for. Hope he can continue to ride forward. Good luck 805

I was impressed by his practice times at a1 and had him on my fantasy teams the first 2 weeks but changed him out last minute both times and he did great.

I don't have to be as smart as you hope to be some day anymore. wink

I noticed him last week....I think from Paso Robles, a tiny town in central Cali where Jessie Nelson is from. I always root for the rookies and privateers!....the heart and soul of motocross!

He smoked the LCQ last week and made it out of the Heat this week. Dude seems legit.

DEFINITELY! I was super impressed last weekend, and again this weekend. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on him all season.

Brian White (BWR Engines) is a close friend of mine and I was lucky enough to ride with Carlen while he was training close to me for Red Bud (I am only a C rider). I can tell you Carlen is an awesome dude off of the track as well as on the track, and Brian busts his ass to do everything he can for his riders and customers to do well. It's really awesome to see these guys' hard work paying off and I hope the success continues throughout the season for them!

As said above, he's from the 805 hence his number.

Has a Loretta's title from I think 2015, podiumed and maybe even won an AX or two on his way through getting his SX points, and in the past couple years made some 250 SX mains and moved to the 450 for East last year and made a couple 450 SX mains.

Always been a bit under the radar, but he gets better ever year, is extremely humble and likeable, and along with Brian at BWR, Carlen did A LOT of work to get the sponsors and team together for himself, Robbie and Tyler.

Matthes did a privateer pod with him last year at some point.

I was paying close attention last year. He had a few really good races and seems to have improved over the off season. He's pretty solid and consistent. I think you will see him in most of the mains all year.

BWR makes a great bike. I've had the chance to ride one of their CRF250's and holy hell it was awesome.

Yeah , that kid wasn't on my radar at all until this year. Very good rider , and putting in some impressive results so far. Hope he keeps it up , because I could see him pitting out of a semi next year if he does. He also has a really cool , very balanced , smooth riding style , which I dig a lot too.

And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
