Damn, must be a whole lot of 4 strokes being sold.

It's terrible to think that the only choice buyers have left is a 2 stroke, and they are selling fast.

Motocross bike sales must be thriving. Wink

Top 10 Australian bike sales for the first 3 quarters in Australia, compared to the same period last year. Some have sold significantly less, some have sold alot more. With the amount of two-strokes people claim that are being sold, you'd think at least one would show up in the top 10.

I am pretty sure there is a two stroke in both of those charts in the top 10... Regardless my next bike is a smoker as well.

Try doing a camparison of the number of bikes imported, and their percentage sold before they are even on the floor.

What the heck? twice as much YZF's as SXF's? It would be the other way around in europe.

According to my local KTM dealer, they could sell many, many more 2 strokes than they do, especially the 250 SX's, but KTM limits the amount they'll give them. Said KTM pushes the the 4-strokes and will give him all he wants. I was surprised by this. Thought KTM was a more pro 2-stroke company.

Yes I do! Haha can't wait to go against some 250 four strokes
It is good fun, especially off the start. Raced my 2012 250sx once so far and it is brilliant, racing this Sunday after having the suspension done, can't wait.

It's a nice feeling sitting on the line knowing you have the most powerful bike is a good feeling.

There's a reason for this and it's about dollars. Four strokes cost a lot more to maintain and repair. It's what the whole four stroke revolution is all about, forcing consumers to pay more. Dirt bikes are a tiny portion of most manufactures sales and before four strokes, they weren't making money. Now they are.

All kidding aside, have fun on your new bike Clayton_Bennet. I haven't ridden one myself, but the consensus seems to be that the latest KTM's perform as good as they look.

I used to race an RM250 against the 250F's from 2008-2010. I felt that in some ways I had an advantage and in other ways I was at a disadvantage - both bikes have their strengths and weaknesses. Of course, your race results depend almost entirely on your riding ability.

Awesome, need picks. KTM needs to pressure the AMA to adjust the rules for them.
