So last weekend my new 250 had a rear brake failure and I got about 15 mins on it. Got that fixed , loaded and headed out with my buddy Wardy to ride Horn Rapids this weekend. 20mins into the drive , parked at the store , walked out and saw a Fed-x truck driver parked , didn't set his air brake.....and plowed right into my van. Caved in the whole driver side door. Still driveable......made the trek anyways and deal with insurance later.

Can't catch a break, brakes not working, brakes not on... Did you go into the shop to get some breakfast?

My brother just went through a major ordeal after someone backed into his van, so bad he had to stop surfing at his regular spot.

I feel ya two weeks ago i had something similar happen to me at work. Co worker parks his car and forgot the parking brake and his car rolled into mine. Then that Sunday at 2am my favorite dog goes into shock because he's dying. He was 14 had to put him down turns out he had a cancer growth in his stomach. He was diabetic and was getting weak and losing weight.

The struggle is real! Hope the ride was good, though, any day on the bike is therapy for the rest of life!

Yeah real run of bad times. My 17 year old chow died in 2013, My younger sister in 2014 of cancer, My mom diagnosed with dementia in 2009. we battled it till this past Wed when she passed.
A dent in a door, maybe a bit of an annoyance.

Recently lost 2 family members one by suicide & also a good friend that died due to alcoholism over the summer. It really puts life into perspective. Personally don't sweat the small stuff.

Sorry to hear about losing your favorite pup. Losing my 7 year old lab/golden to a brain tumor was (right after losing my dad and dropping my son off at school) was difficult. Dogs are family. Usually the family member with the best attitude. :-)

Jeffro, I hear you on the frustration. This stuff is not necessary and complicates life when you are trying to do something to escape the complications. Still, have fun.

You may have suffered some sort of mental trauma and need monetary compensation now!

Don't overthink the small stuff, happens to all of us. Keep your head up, in the end this stuff doesn't matter much.
Bad luck is when your house burns down. A scratch in the door or bike issue? No biggie, keep going!

Wow take it steady both of you guys sorry to hear that. All I can really wish for in life is for everyone to stay healthy. Been to 4 funerals in the last 2 1/2 years of some close family members, some real tough times. You come out stronger in the end even though it’s without your loved lost ones. Puts life’s into perspective but I never get pissed about the little things anymore. Dirt biking was my therapy at one point when life was really shitty only thing that took my mind of it all.

Be thankful you weren’t between the wayward truck and your van. Hang in there Jeffro, shit happens and it’s usually not good. Be thankful you have bikes, a healthy mind/body to ride them, and a nice van to haul them?

Fed Ex will pay trust me. Amazing what carriers will do to keep DOT from sniffing around.
