The guys arrived in town yesterday. This is my local race this year, about 12minutes from my place. Went to see the kawasaki rig at my dealer and then went to see some of the guys practice a small local track. I am nowhere near a pro photographer but ill try to take some close ups pics and upload them here! Had a chat with shawn maffenbeier and Tyler Medaglia, very nice guys!

An observation - I wonder why the Kawasaki team kashima coated the upper fork tubes on the 450F but not the 250F?

Sure man. If you are already going to be there on Saturday.

Teams seem very cognizant of making everything look the same - just struck me as odd. Looks better with the kashima.

The forks on their 450s are Kit KYB spring forks (Kashima coated), not the stock Showa SFF TAC air forks. The 250 on their team uses the stock SFF spring forks, so the upper tubes are the stock silver ones.

Mike is on production 2012 KX450F forks. Tyler has a set of A Kit spring forks as well as a set of coated production 2012 forks. Shawn's 250f has 2018 production KX250f forks on the bike. All are modified internals from Race Tech.

These setups were the same used by the previous (Leading Edge) Monster Kawi team and Dillan Epstein last summer.

Not to be Debbie Downer, but visit for a week in February, then get back to us. The upside is, the mosquitoes aren’t really an issue then.
