I think there was 9 points difference heading into today for the Triple Crown Points Championship.

It might be closer now or Phil might be leading those points. The rider that scores the most points across all 3 series (AX, MX, and SX) wins $100,000.

Holy crap about time Phil. I’m to lazy to look what would the points be if mike and Phil did not get docked after today.

He's wondering what the points would be after today if Phil and Mike weren't penalized at round 5.

No one was penalized today and I posted the answer to what he was wondering.
Oooh gotcha. Thanks.

With no penalties the points would be the following heading into the last round at Walton after today.

1- Colton Facciotti 338
2- Mike Alessi 335
3- Phil Nicoletti 319

Colton would have 4 less points.

Mike would have 7 more points.

Phil would have 8 more points.

What really hurt Phil in the point standings is the fact that he scored no points in the first moto at Sand Del Lee after his crash. He made a pit stop to change a radiator mid moto and still went on to finish the race. Without that I think he would most likely be in the points lead.

Hypothetically had he won that moto Phil would have 349 points.

Side Note: And that's why I think MRC/Jetwerx scaling back the National series to 8 rounds absolutely sucks. There's 1 round left as opposed to 3.
I agree. 8 Rounds isn't enough. I get the money involved especially on the teams. Even a 10 round series would be good. Really liked when RJ's was on the schedule. 15 min from my place.

What a beautiful track. Canadian moto has been so good. Each year I tell myself I'm gonna fly up and watch a race, but I keep slacking...

I'd like to see 12 rounds but 10 gives enough breaks in the series. Speaking of RJ's, is that place still around?

Rumor has it MRC/Jetwerx want even more indoor rounds. Honestly, MX should be the main focus up here.

In my opinion the only improvement thus far since MRC/Jetwerx took over the series is a better TV package.

Quebec has a lot of nice tracks. Deschambault has always been top notch.

Look up some old races. Ste-Julie, Ulverton, Joliette, Ste-Thècle, Notre-Dame du Bon Conseil are all great Quebec tracks that hosted national races over the years.

RJ's still has a track and is open. Although I dont mind riding it, I dont think it belongs in the National schedule.

Really enjoying watching this season. But whats up with the Canadian fans? No cheering and air horns!?? Is it because Canadians are so polite?

I hope not! If they can get some bigger venues for their SX portion great but the MX portion needs to be 10 rounds again. Its a total step backwards for the sport in Canada. I miss the old series as it was
coast to coast one way. The way the West rounds this year were slated was logistically retarded and expensive for everyone.

I agree. Everything other than the MX series is mickey mouse. I think they are just trying to do too much, and not doing anything extremely well. That being said,we do not have a lot of National caliber tracks in Canada either.
