I hope they do upload the races. Hopefully I can bring some good vibes to the guys in GREEN the next two races when I am up there. BTW I am looking for a size 13 motocross boot for Sunday after Riverglade..

Ouch! Goerke is usually a beast at the Dunes. I know he’s still hurt even though he won in Minnedosa. Did he have mechanicals?

I honestly expected the #1 bike to run a bit better, being his home court. I would have guessed that Colt would go 1-1 before the #800. Killer rides by the 800 and 19!!

He had a mechanical in moto 1 and pulled off after a crash in moto 2.

I also expected Colt to run upfront. That said he still has the points lead, probably didn't exhaust himself pushing to the max, so he's still in a great place.

Should be a great rest of the series.

I’ve noticed the last few years that Gopher hasn’t been his strongest race even though it’s his home track. Either small injuries or just managing the series or just a guy who really excels in those conditions steps up.

Mike Alessi killed everyone, especially in the 2nd moto. Most guys dropped 4 seconds off their best laps from moto 1 to 2, Alessi dropped 1 tenth. Goerke's bike blew up in moto 1 and was smoking again just a couple laps into moto 2.
The track was awesome this year and got as rough as I've ever seen it.

Cheers to Maverick for his contributions here for Canadian moto. Very good. Thank you.

I wasn’t able to make the race this year but hopefully Walton.

Crazy to see Alessi just pull those guys both motos. Shows how gnarly he still is and the shape he is in. Does he pull a Langston and win this thing in the 2nd half of the season?

I personally don't think he will but it's MX and anything can happen.

Nonetheless, great ride and great to have another guy up front.

I -FINALLY!- got to race in Canada!
The folks at GDR Honda/Ride Red set me up with a fresh CRF250R and I was able to get in a coupl’a practice sessions and race the Over 50 class.
That track is amazing. A REAL SAND TRACK!
Racing a CRF250R against a bunch of 450s on a sand track was an eye opener.

The infamous GDR shop...

My CRF250R for a day.

That’s Steve McQueen on my front fender. He brings me good luck!

If lived within 300 miles of that place, I’d ride there every damn chance that I could.
It’s silly-assed fun
It’s super well maintained & watered.
The owners are absolutely moto-crazy.
Digger and his family are simply “good people”.
I’d like to give a shout-out to Dylon Wright for helping figure out how to make that bike “scream for vengeance” and take the fight to all those guys on 450s in the 1st turn and on A REAL SAND TRACK.
That young man is a class act.
Congrats to him and his new fiancé.

And another giant “Thank You!” to the Monster/A-Star/Piller’s Kawasaki Team and...the best Canuckian mechanic EVER...The Donk for his families hospitality, also.

Canada Rules!

I went 3:3 for 3rd O/A

I got beat by some guy on a KX450 that was simply GONE! & has a coupl’a good races with a truly “French” French-Canadian stunt-car driver on a KTM that out-jumped me...he had bigger balls and deserved his hard fought 2:2 for 2nd.

I met the Canadian 0-50 racers Dutchy & Fred aka Santa Claus...and plenty of other cool Canuckians.

That's great. I just found the results online. The KX guy is Ken Gilmor and the French-Canadian is Michael Hansen.

Looks like everyone in that class was consistent. Most guys finished around the same place they did in moto 1.

Are you racing another round?

I am going to try and ride on Sunday after the Pro's at Riverglade.. I am trying to get a pair of size 13 boots to wear versus me wearing my boots on the plane!! Trying to travel light so my boots take up half of my suitcase/gear bag.
