Goerke looks like he's catching Alessi but not much time left.

You are seeing Pourcel do everything he can to get the most effective results without having to ride as hard and expend energy. He dodged a bullet with Goerke not getting Alessi

Thanks for the play by play as always mav.

I'm impressed with the ride by facciotti, coming back to 9th is damn good. He was on the ground for quite a while.

Ryan Lalonde was 13th in MX1? I wonder if he double classed it today? He's a regular top 15 guy in MX2. I missed the first moto of the day to know for sure.

He came into this weekend 8 points back for the championship. 4 motos remaining. He's arguably got the best bike, and has the highest credentials.

I thought you said this was going to be easy for him? Looks to me like he just lost more points to Goerke. He can no longer win the championship by simply beating Goerke every moto, he now needs someone to finish in between them to buffer the points, too.

Unless Pourcel is injured or sick, what you are seeing is Pourcel doing everything he can to roll over and give the championship away. It's within his grasp but he won't reach out and grab it. He showed that he has some fight in him at Prince George, where did it go?

I'm not a Pourcel hater, I want to see this championship come down to the last moto, but he's letting it slip away. And I am enjoying his biggest fanboy Sodipop getting humbled after talking a lot of shit at the beginning of this series.

I'm not defending him. It should be easy. Trey canard just retired because the mental side started affecting him. Pourcel has gone on for a while now with the mental side affecting him but doing everything he can to make it safer and easier. He can sort of get away with it because of his freak talent but it's just weird to watch. I'm a huge fan btw

Not sure but it's a good day to do it since MX1 isn't a full gate so he has a better chance at getting some more points. Found it weird that he qualified in MX2 with a 1:56 and a 2:00 in MX1. Obviously the track got rougher but not all that much.

Not many people double class it. I think it's awesome. What some people do is start moto 1 of 450 pull out and simply do the 2nd 450 moto to have a better chance at finishing the moto.

Issues with the stream again. Hopefully they get it sorted out before MX2 moto 2.

He's just not willing to hang it out at all, it seems.. But then he contradicts himself by doing the opposite in Prince George. Either he's lost the eye of the tiger, or he's just gotten slower.

I just checked the Racer X Vault and wow, I guess it was 2009-2010 when he was at his peak so that was quite a bit longer time ago than I thought. Alessi has slowed down a fair bit since he was at his peak too.

The coolest part is that he's doing it on a YZ 250. Got to love 2 strokes!

He was slightly off of that in 2012 but was still a great gp 450 rider.

I believe he's a lot fresher than Goerke for moto 2 which was his game plan when he got into 4th. I'd expect him to win moto 2 but you're right, him not making more of an effort to win this thing as of yet speaks volumes

I'd say he's gotten slower because he's lost the eye of the tiger

Pourcel retired 5 years ago, he just hasn't told anyone yet. He has never been a hard worker but now he only does the bare minimum during the week.

Agreed!! I know the family very well. Ryan and his dad Darcy are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Total bummer I missed the first mx2 moto. Where'd he finish?
