This week The Canadian Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross National series makes its way to Atlantic Canada. For the next two weeks the traveling circus will be stationed in the beautiful Maritimes. The race this week takes place at the Pleasant Valley Motorsports Park facility located in Brookfield, Nova-Scotia. We'll be stepping away from the sand and onto a loamy soil that gets rougher and rougher as the day progresses. The Pleasant Valley race track is fast and technical with off cambered corners. Last year's start was a short and tight left hand turn. This year the track crew have change it up so that the start straight will provide a long sweeping turn. They've also added a couple of new jumps.
Bad News out of the Benoit camp. Kaven Benoit had a big crash last weekend at his home race of MX Bon-Conseil. He suffered a couple of injuries and after getting checked out at the hospital it was determined that he lacerated his liver in the crash. As a result of his injuries Kaven Benoit will now be sitting out the rest of the Canadian Nationals and will turn his attention on getting healthy and getting ready for the 2018 season.

Followed by Alessi, Medaglia, Pourcel, Facciotti, Goerke, Meston, Bles, Tremblay and Chisholm Top 10.
Looks like only 32 riders signed up for the 450 class. Hopefully they can get a full gate next week in Moncton.
Shawn Maffenbeier qualified fastest with a 1:48.274 followed by Pettis, Osby, Wright, Hayes, Fraser, Surratt, Ward, Keast and Halstead Top 10.
Fraser is on the Husky TC 250 for you two stroke lovers.
That's devastating for the KTM team as both their riders are now out for the season. Will they bother bringing someone up for the remaining rounds?
Might as well crown Maffenbeier the 2017 MX2 Champion now that Thompson is out of the series. I suppose Josh Osby has an outside shot at the title but as of now it looks like the MX101 Yamaha team will finally bring in their first MX2 title.
