This week we are back from the only weekend off in the series and after making the long 2500+ Kilometers/1550+ Miles journey East the riders are set to compete at the Gopher Dunes facility. The Gopher Dunes track is known to be the toughest track on the circuit. Some people say that this sand track is not only the toughest track in Canada but in all of North America. If you've never been to this facility it can be a little deceiving when you first pull in the gates and take your first look at the track. At first glance the track appears to be smooth as ice before any bike gets to put a lap on it but after the first practice session is completed it's easy to see why this track has the reputation of the toughest track in Canada. From then on it just gets rougher and tougher as the day progresses.

Fun fact: Matt Goerke has never lost at this track ever since he's been coming up to Canada to compete. Can he keep his winning streak going or will Christophe Pourcel step up to the challenge and take the win? Can Colton Facciotti get his first win of the season in front of the hometown fans? Will Kaven Benoit be the spoiler?

I've been to every Gopher national from since 2007, not there today. Bummed out I couldn't make it, but hopefully the live broadcast comes in clear and we get some good racing.

I inquired about that and suggested it to them but unfortunately their system is not set up for that. I told them to switch it over to Livestream.com since it has that option and broadcasts in full HD.
