This week the series heads to the RJ Motosport Park facility located an hour North of Toronto in Barrie, Ontario for the 10th and final round of the season. RJ Motosport Park was brought back to the schedule last year after being left off for over 10 years. The track is composed of a mixture of sand and loam. As we head into the final round of the season both titles are still up for grabs and will be decided once the final checkered flag drops.

In the MX2/250 class Shawn Maffenbeier is still holding on to the red plate but after having a few issues on track and a mechanical forcing him to DNF a moto his once commanding over 40 point lead is now down to a slimmer 11 point lead. If Shawn can ride smart, manage to stay on two wheels in both moto's and doesn't have any mechanical issues he will be taking home not only his first but also the MX101 Yamaha Team's first ever National Championship. One thing is for sure and that is that Ryan Surratt still has a very good chance at this title and you can believe he will be giving it everything he's got in order to maximize his points.

In the MX1/450 class Matt Goerke continues to hold on to the red plate and is going for his 3rd Canadian National Championship. With a 15 point lead over Christophe Pourcel all Goerke needs to do to bring home the championship is to ride inside the top 4 if Pourcel goes 1-1. With last weekend's drama near the end of the second moto there's no telling what will happen. Matt Goerke wasn't happy with the pass Pourcel made on him and he made sure to let him know after the moto. With a week to cool off and think about things I'm sure Goerke knows full well that retaliation isn't worth the risk when the championship is at stake. It's time to focus, think about the bigger picture and leave the drama behind.

Weather: Mostly sunny with a high of 24°C/76°F.
