The fact they've made the shrouds thinner is the most appealing upgrade on this bike!

Eh. Honestly doesn't do anything for me. Blue rims might actually be worse than black. And, I still can't get anyone to tell me the supposed benefit of mass centralization fore and aft. But to each his own, if you like it, go for it!

But bro, have you seen how much better the bike is than the competition because of the "mass centralization"?

The other bikes have huge problems due to the lack of mass centralization. Yamaha figured it out tho.

I was thinking of getting a cheap used 14 as a practice bike so I can keep the hours and wear down on this new bike....but Damn.... I think my new 17 might just be the practice bike.....Damn!
Gotta get my head around just how many damn sheep I'm going to have to shear to pay for an 18....Damn

Man I agree, this thing is hideous. To each his own like you say and I know they're great bikes but the blue rims don't look as good as the black.

I will say I have not been a fan of the Yamaha since 2010. But that thing looks pretty good. Need to see it in real life tho

Same here. Never really liked the look of the newer 4 stroke yamahas, but i actually like this one.
Also, they are the only manufacturer to offer two different color schemes for their bikes. I think more manufacturers should do that.

Looks like yamaha might have done it. By far the coolest feature is the app controlled remap. Now just waiting for kawasaki to add that and estart...

I'm just trying to figure out where you want the engine. On the front wheel? Back wheel?

Oh man , I wish!
Definitely hanging on to see if they update the two strokes. I need a 250 two stroke for the lites class next year, just not seeing anything that's value for money in the second hand market. Why pay $5 k for a beat 06 to 13 model when you can buy a brand new 16 for $8.5 at Sumoto in Melbourne...
Anyway, I'm certainly sporting wood over that new 450!
