What happened to the dirt tonight at A2? Has it been sitting out too long already? They were watering it all day and up until right before the night show started. It was drying out really bad in some spots and was falling apart everywhere. It looked really good in some spots but real crappy in other areas. I heard riders were complaining about it and saying it was falling apart all over.
Is it a bad thing that it stays out for 3 weeks before A2 and 5 weeks before A3? Are the monster trucks doing something to it?
Is there anything they can do?

Oh, wait...it's already broken. It used to be rock.
Then (approximate numbers, taking into account lappers), 450 heats - 230 laps , 450 semis - 155 laps, 450 lcq - 80 laps, 450 main - 380 laps.
250 heats - 230 laps, 250 lcq - 80 laps, 250 main - 300 laps.
That is nearly 4000 laps on one track in one day. The dirt will break down. That's just how it is.
I'm jus' sayin'...
BTW, in contrast to the discussion: I noticed that the Feld/Dirt-Wurx guys seem to be attempting to build a track that:
1. Requires virtually no maint./a lot less maint.
2. Are more technical/safer track with lap times closer to 1 minute.
Better yet bring in all sand put some paddles on and Man UP............Jimmy did, once.......
If you think my last comment about it being a built in excuse was "firing squad" you need to start paying more attention to the posts around here....
Dirt is a mix off the rock you speak off and organics. The quality of dirt in tracks deteriorates over time. It looses its organic part when riden/worked every day.
Thats why when you ride in a farm crop or something similar the traction is awesome.
To compensate that they should mix hay, grass, woodchips, etc to the dirt.
