Motocrossed, Moto Kids.. Supercross ... OK movies but not an a list type movie. They beat the ole "washed up coach or player comes back to lead the team to victory" to death in stick and ball sports , could there every be a
producer or an actor willing to take a chance and put together a good movie or is MX/SX just a secondary sports when it comes to hollywood ?

Motorcycle riders don't settle their differences in the street, they settle them on the track, old school style.

Remember when JS7 was talking to Tom Cruise about a movie, but then he pulled out of the project because he didn't like the way they wanted to portray motocross? At least that was the story. I always thought that was super cool of Stewart. I think they were going to focus on the racism he encountered.

Bandy is a team winter sport played on ice, in which skaters use sticks to direct a ball into the opposing team's goal.[2]
The sport has common background with association football, ice hockey and field hockey. Like football, the game is normally played in halves of 45 minutes each, there are eleven players on each team, and the bandy field is about the same size as a football pitch. It is played on ice like ice hockey, but like field hockey, players use bowed sticks and a small ball.
Maybe one of these father son duo's like the Reeds, Grants, Dowds, Ferrys or Deegans will make a strong plot in another decade or so?

The most glaring example I can think of is the documentary "Dogtown and Z-Boys" which was brilliant.
But then Hollywood tried to make it into a movie- "Lords of Dogtown", and it sucked so bad it wasn't even funny. Even with a couple of the main guys from "Dogtown and Z-Boys" involved with the production (Stecyk and Peralta), it was pathetically unwatchable. If they couldn't get it right, there is zero hope for anyone else.
What Dad said. Great movie.
As far as a proper feature length Hollywood film that core motocross enthusiasts would enjoy... Again, see above. Ha
Might be a fun one to remake.
Loved that movie as a kid.
Post a reply to: Can there ever be a legit movie (not a documentary) about MX or SX ?
