Looking into getting some proper cleaning products, just wanting to get other peoples opinions on what they thought was good/bad etc.

Cheers

I use liquid Tide mixed about 50/50 with water. Pressure wash the heavy stuff, coat the whole bike in the tide mix, scotch brite aluminum surfaces with comet or ajax and run a sponge over the big surfaces than rinse. Tide works really well on black surfaces. It really makes the black stand out.

Pressure wash entire bike first. After initial cleaning and still wet, spray down bike with Power Purple using 2gal sprayer. Don't let sit for more than a minute or two. Pressure wash entire bike again. All the residual crap comes right off. Towel dry excess water. Blow off any remaining water with air compressor blow gun. The following day. Lube all pivots, joints, and chain. Detail with silicon spray or I use WD40 once in a while. Looks like a new bike.

What have you guys found best for getting boots clean besides a scrub brush and elbow grease?

Shout will not dull your anodized hubs and other bits, Simple Green will.

I agree I like shout. I quit using Simple Green for the fact it could dull the aluminum finish. If it doesn't do it in one use it will over time. The do make Aluminum safe Simple Green but that's not the normal stuff you buy at your local store.
