Me need a new one. The piece o' crap one I got a few years back from CHAPARRAL is

a piece of crap that I paid about fiddy buh for and it is a piece o' crap and have decided it is

time for a new one that is NOT a piece of crap.

Whaddya recommend > OGIO stair-step up dealio ?

A plank of wood from gramps' garage ?

Many thanks for your experience and sound advice.

I sell a few different ramps here at Motosport. The ogio step up is a solid well made ramp. We also carry the Fly folding ramp and a few from Matrix. All good ramps that are not flimsy.

It's a 1997 Dodge 1500 - normal height. 178000 miles, driver's seat worn out - well

stickered and smells solidly like motocross.

There's an emergency Coors Lite in the back-seat and the wrapper from a pumpkin-bread

roll on the floor. Don't judge.Please.

Okay, I'll check out the website then, Motosport has never failed to impress.

I like it when I call you yahoos and you want to discuss moto, that makes me

If you have room to carry it, the ones for quads that fold in half are really nice. You can walk right up the ramp alongside the bike.

I have a great ramp invention in my scattered brain, if someone wants to run with it

and become super-rich - so be it.

A ramp like thing would be bolted into the bed of the truck =- so that the bike would slide

into place. Now, beneath that ramp - another ramp would slide out - on roller bearings

with a hinge at the end, allowing it to slide-out and bend down to the ground.

Put the bike in, slide the ramp into the bottom of the bolted in one - close the

tail-gate and happy moto'ing. Run and tell that. Recommend retail $156.95

Motosport.com kicks ass. Not sure how they're able to get shipments from Oregon to my door quicker than BTO (which is only about an hour down the road).

I have a ramp that is made from cable strut that is used in the oil fields. My dad got it and put a ramp end on it. We have had that thing over 20 years. None of the ramps made these days can even compare for strength and light weight. If I had to buy a new one though I would get a steel one. Even though it is heavier it will at least last you some time.

This one had done me well. Brother has the ogio ramp and it is pretty sweet as well, just a little more pricey

harbor frieght has a great folding ramps for 60 bucks, its for quads, but I like that you can walk your bike up the truck instead of the using a crate for a step or what not

I tried the Ogio step ramp and ended up selling it and going back to my aluminum one that I've had for almost 10 years. The step up ramp is a good idea, just my compact truck bed was too low for it and it was very bulky and heavy.

The simple Fly folding ramps work awesome. They are light, fold nice and compact, and last forever. Have had mine for around 5 years of abuse, including falling out doing 90 MPH on the interstate.

I'll second the folding flys...very sturdy and compact when folded up. Just watch out for pinched fingers!

For folks with shorter beds...the Ready ramp / combo ramp and extender thing looks like the way to go, but I think Ruperts got a full sized bed on his pickup.

Quad boss. They are plenty wide and long enough for taller trucks but not too long for shorter trucks. And they last a long time
