From Fullnoise.au.com:
Australian Freestyle star Cameron Sinclair has been seriously injured during the Red Bull X Fighters event in Madrid, Spain.
Cameron under rotated a double flip and took a massive hit.
He was rushed to Hospital where he was induced into a coma and then was then rushed into surgery.
Details are a bit sketchy but he suffered severe internal bleeding from a lacerated liver, Surgeons went in to what remained of his liver through and artery in his leg to stem the bleeding. He has also suffered some bruising on the brain. Doctors don't know the extent of any damage at the moment. He also suffered a very bad break to his shoulder.
Mick Sinclair, Cameron's brother said he will remain in a critical condition for at least the next 14 hours and that he was as stable as he could be at this time.

Everyone needs to keep Cam in their prayers.

If you want to make that argument make it in another thread. This one should be for good wishes and updates.

Was he the guy who was doing a double flip as part of his normal freestyle run and not just trying it in a best trick contest?
MXR and TGTech, if you have nothing decent to say then STFU.
My thoughts are with you Cam, hope you have a full recovery.
maybe everyone should get along in this thread.....a fellow rider is down people, play nice.
I have no problem with it.
Best hopes to Cam and his Family.
Hope full a full recovery.
To address the actual point of this thread - That's awful, and I hope he manages to recover completely. I'm not a prayer sort of person but I'll definitely keep him in my thoughts.
Unfortunately I do not have as good news to report on Cam for this newsletter as I would like.
During the finals at the X Fighters in Madrid, Spain, Cam under rotated the double backflip, landing heavily on his the front of his body and head.
Cam was knocked unconscious and taken to hospital in a critical condition. He has since had surgery on his liver, to repair a rupture in it and stop the internal bleeding. Luckily the operation was successful and the bleeding has been stopped.
Doctors did scans on Cams head and body to check for other damage, it appears he has broken his shoulder, but other than that his spine looks ok. He also has some bruising on his brain however the full extent of the damage to it wont be known for 12-14 hours minimum.
At this stage Cam is in a critical but stable condition under an induced coma in hospital.
I will be sure to update as soon as I know more.
Thank you for your support.
I hope the guy recovers.

On another note, I wish FMX would drop the MX because motocross is about racing, not doing stunts. MX already has enough image problems. When parents see stuff like this called motocross, I can't help but think that when Junior says he wants to ride/race motocross many of those parents say no way because they think motocross means doing dangerous stunts like flipping your dirt bike.
Thoughts and prayers go to Cam
But I also hope that freestyle gets back to its roots of hitting natural gaps and having fun with your friends and gets away from this FMX show business baloney. I went to one of those shows a few years ago and came away with two impressions - first, after you've seen a trick done once it's boring after that, and second, I hate the idea that my ticket money was used to perpetuate something that will surely end in devastating injury or death. So no more for me.
I hope the kid pulls through ok. Terrible thing, but it comes with the challenge of the sport. Best wishes to Cam and his family.
Too many variables that are out of a riders control when your in the air doing what they do.
UPDATE! great news!
His manager, Adam Bailey, said Sinclair had woken from his coma and appeared to have dodged serious spinal or brain damage.
"They've asked him to move his arms and legs and he could, so that was great," he said.
"He's still in and out of consciousness, but starting to react to being spoken to."
Sinclair was pushing hard for his first X Fighters win when he under-rotated his signature move and slammed into the ramp.
Mr Bailey said Sinclair was still unable to talk after smashing his windpipe into the handlebars.
"There was a lot of blood in his mouth and he was bleeding from the ears when they first got to him," he said. "He wasn't in too good a shape and they had to do emergency surgery to clean up his liver."
"His fiancee said she told him there would be no more motorcycle riding from now on and he made a frowny face," Mr Bailey said.
"He didn't like the sound of that. By the sound of things, he's already thinking about riding again."
