I’d like to hear an interview with him on what he thinks-

Vet class or Open class is about the only classes for it.

Did Tony ever race a 250cc two stroke in a regular season?
No , Tony got into MX2 a few years after everyone already made the switch to the 250F's. He turned pro in like 04' - 05' , and by then , they were already sweeping the 2 strokes under the rug. He would of been on a 125 in the MX2 class as well. He switched to MXGP in 2009 , where he actually went for the 350F for a few years. He missed the boat on the 2 stroke world.

Likewise.

Honestly....the sport was better before the 4-stroke occupation.

Yeah, he started in ‘04 and was already on the Yamaha. The other jap bikes started in ‘04 and were not as developed as the Yamaha was.

I know he raced a CR125 in 2003, but I don't think he ever raced a 250 2t.

Wasn't it always the rumor his Yamaha was a 400 and not a 450?

I never heard that. But I can say that before anyone knew that Yamaha was going to come out with a 250, Doug Dubach was racing one (as a 450) and nobody had any idea. He parked next to me at Glen Helen on 2 occasions and nobody had a clue that he was racing/ testing a new model bike.

Yes, he had a 250 2t ready in the pits at Fermo in 2011, but Antonio's Mum died but the day before the GP, so he did not race.

As it should be in all international MX1 classes.
