Are 222 and 84 the most dominant pair of teammates in the history of dirt bike racing? Indoors or out, doesn’t matter which series, etc. Who is or was better? Or even comparable?

A lot of Honda in the 80s... RJ and DB. Stanton and Bayle. RC and Fonseca. RC and Tortelli.

They’re actually in separate semi’s and teams. Yes both on factory KTM’s but different crew around them. Prado is actually Cairoli’s team mate where Coldenhoff and Jonass are Herlings team mates.
Honda from 82 through 94 was pretty damn dominant. Some years more so than others espaiclly mid to late 80s.
KTM in 14 had Roczen and Dungey go 1 - 2 outdoors.

Well we're like 4 GPs in, but all the titles went through those, definitely being cheeky with the Tortelli one, and RC/Fonseca and RJ/DB definitely were on the box a lot.

together they won 155 GP's ...
the funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it
Agreed. They went 1-2 in damn near every race. I think the only guy that beat them was tomac
Rinaldi’s teams with Everts teammates

I wouldn't say best team, as they are run by different people and pretty much they don't stand each other... However, regarding the results, they are really good!
You can probably say that Herlings Cairoli Prado and Jonass are the most dominant team.
At least Covington has a moto win. Other than that, no chance so far for the other guys
Honda from 02 to 04 ala RC was pretty nuts. In 2002 Honda won 10 or 11 of the last SX races with RC winning all of em plus Nathan Ramsey getting one when RC went from last to second plus all 24 motos in the outdoors with RC of course. Honda as a brand won every national from 02 through 04 and only lost one Moto to Ferry in 03 High Point, RC crashed. I know Windham was on Factoty Connection at the time but still that's crazy for Honda as brand.
Pro Circuit in 2011 won every overall and all but one moto.
But so far Herlings and Cairoli have won every moto.
