Any updates on Chase Sextons injury. Looked very gnarly but hopefully everything is ok! Also side note if he is injured and will be out for a while, it would be very cool if Honda gave the ole #5 a call. Would never happen but would be sooooo sick!

Looked like his shoulder is toast. That sand section was brutal.

GWS Chase.

Ya know I said that too at first, but it could have been him holding his arm supporting something in the shoulder.

That was a really hard hit. Unfortunate for him to crash, especially while leading, but he is also lucky that he managed to hit his back/shoulder and not his head/neck more than he did. Heal up, champ!

Thought the same as well, could be either his wrist or his shoulder. We'll have to wait for the PR. Nevertheless, it's a bummer any of both scenarios.

Something has to give when you hit shoulder first on wall.

If I had to guess I’d say a broken collarbone.
I agree; That or a scapula. Either way, 4-6 weeks! Feel bad for the guy.

If you have to go out, at least he did it while leading a pro 450 SX main! Get well soon if he is hurt (haven't seen anything official).

The way he landed on his neck/head, he should be glad if he walked away with “only” a shoulder injury. It’s a shame because he was riding great for sure.

As a 3 time broken collar bone survivor I'd say the same thing. Actually be better for him if it's the collar bone and not the wrist. (I've broken that too)

Collarbone is best thing to broke(clean) if optio is separate shoulder and damage ligaments.

As someone who has broken their wrist I got worried when I saw the way he was holding his wrist. But the more I thought about it and saw how he landed again its gotta be collarbone or something like that

I can assure you that there was not an ounce of air left in his body after that hit. And i bet most of his inital reaction was just trying to breath. Makes it hard to tell what was hurting him.

Yep EXACTLY, looked like collarbone, shoulder injury to me.

I'll probably get slammed and downvoted to Kingdom come but I'm from the old school and always wear gear for the CRASH.

Never understood why they got away from wearing these. A thin jersey or under jersey ROOST protecter doesn't do much IMO.

Yea for a Pro maybe you don't feel as limber (didn't seem to bother RJ, Stanton, Chicken etc). But how limber are you in a hospital bed, cast or sling? Dry

Looked like Chase was wearing some sort of under jersey armor (guessing A stars of course). Might have saved him from being worse off.

That'd be great if he just bruised it up. Having your confidence go up in the face of a crash like that, can only lead to more speed and, more meds.

I'm no doctor but I pretend to be one 24/7. The way he hit, if there was going to be a shoulder injury it would likely be a dislocation or a fracture to the scapula. AC separations usually have more downward force associated, like driving the shoulder in from the top/front. Even without a fracture or dislocation/separation, the infraspinatus muscle (one of the 4 rotators) runs across the scapula and could be pretty bruised up. That kind of trauma can be pretty limiting for 10-14 days.

Hope Chase can get back on the gate for Saturday!

The ole #5 is probably thinking hes glad he didnt make a comeback this year because he was always on the podium and with being gone so long and this field, i dont think he would be in the top 10.

Certainly a major feat to get into the top 10 these days.. its gnarly how fast this season is.

he has some muscle mass and i think that actually saved him in that crash.

Broke my collarbone wearing the exact chest pro. Plastic absorbs virtually no impact I don’t think it would of helped to be honest
