Hey everyone,

Scored a more or less intact 1978 RM125C for pennies on the dollar. Have a look at the pics. The good: more or less in tact, and a good starting point. The bad: took the top end off, bad, bottom end full of sludge. I could use some advice on sourcing parts for said bike.

Tony Boswell at Vintage-Suzuki.com for nice shiny proper plastics, seat covers, decals and other parts . Lots of OEM parts still available. DC Plastics has a whole lot more than plastics. Good luck with the project!

Hey Newmann, I was hoping you would chime in! I did race one of these and loved, loved, loved it. Yes I have Vintage-Suzuki bookmarked. I might PM you the odd time for a question or 2. Cheers.

Hope that you put # c19 on that bad boy. Had ‘77 and ‘79 models back in the day. Good time for a project bike.

I got OEM side panels from Suzuki just a few years ago for mine. Suzuki still has a lot of parts available the last time I needed some too.

Vintage Suzuki are great. Tony offers a awesome variety of parts. Great customer service. Tony even emailed me to confirm I’d ordered correctly, which I hadn’t and changed it to the correct parts on his end.
Partzilla and Cmnsl are good for lots of Nos parts.
Even local dealers (in Oz) have plenty of parts still available.
Suzuki are easy to restore I’ve found.

That thing is beautiful! A mate of mine got a brand new 1980 rm 250 when they came out...I was in awe! I was a lot younger than him and got a slightly second hand rm 100...they were great days indeed!
