Sweet pair...I had a 83 c.r80...kid down the road got a new 85 cr80...we had a a drag race...and I won...but I wanted the 85...looked so much cooler...
That's how a resto should be done on "glory year" Honda's...as stock as possible. Now if that pair was a set of 1987 CR's I'd be chompin' at the bit. Lol

A buddy of mine texted me a while back a barn find of two 87 CR250's. He was going to restore but changed mind so I'm waiting for a price from him. Wanted an 87 cr250 for a long time...........
Man I rode my 85 CR 125 into the ground I liked it so much. Rode the 250 a half of lap on a cross country track and broke the backing plate on it. The guy I rode for let me ride his 85 yz 250 that had never been started. I wish I could have stayed on the CR 250 instead. Great deal for the vintage guys and we saw what Jerry Robin did on the 85 cr..
Had the 125 that year and also raced the 250 when a friend broke his leg and let me use it the rest of the season. Very low end Powerband on the 250 but got some trophies and points racing it. Quite a difference racing those two bikes on any given Sunday.
