Take $3k off his price for the lack of A-kit and the FMF sticker on the exhaust. For $7k that bitch better have a fresh Shorty on there, not some refurb with a freebie sticker they hand out.

Nice $37 chain and shitty carb vent hoses. Please have some dignity and order the bulk OEM vent hoses if you're doing a resto/build.

2021? I think he means 2001 frame with 20 years worth of rust inside the tubes waiting for that 1 huge jump.....

I have never brought any but shouldn't those shiny new radiator hoses have some jubilee clips on them ?

|

7/2/2020 4:33 PM

Wonder how this thing handles with a ktm frame

It's a "special 2021 build." You gotta pay top dollar when gems like this are imported from the future.

Not sure what he has going on there but its the new style 125 motor and they don't line up and fit in the old steel 125 frames. He may have cut out and welded in new mounts but its looks pretty clean so who knows.

It's clean? As in newish parts? But no mechanical ability at all. It obv hasn't been ran when all the photos were taken. No radiator hose clamps. They prob used a lot of spray paint. Their clutch cable routing is interesting. So much going on with this bike. They don't beleive in 'dust' covers for controls. How is that B kit suspension? And yes that motor does not belong to that frame. Bolts going wrong direction, etc.

Frame is not a normal Yamaha setup. Look at the shock mount. Maybe a KTM frame?

|

7/5/2020 6:58 PM

Where'd the seller's post go?

|

7/9/2020 1:01 PM

One thing for sure that cost over 7k to build. I don't see a problem with his price.

I thought that was a joke until I looked at the pictures.

Personally, nice effort from the builder but I'd stay away from it.

That looks like a 2002 - 2004 YZ125 frame modified to suit the 2005+ engine.
Those tubes welded into the shock tower appear to be TIG welded and just someone's artistic addition.

Someone above mentioned the radiators, those look like OEM Yamaha radiators to me.

It looks like someone pieced together a bunch of stuff they liked from different years and put an outrageous price on it.
