15 years ago on march 13th Chet was paralyzed while practicing at his home practice track in Waverly Iowa. While every day is challenge for Chet he has never given up his love for motorcycles. Chets finishes included a podium finish at lorettas in the schoolboy class and lost a close overall battle at the mini o's to Shaun Perelio in the schoolboy class. Chet currently has earned a bachelors degree in graphic design from the University of Northern Iowa. It is this type of character that Chet displays that makes me proud to be his Uncle. Ride safe, Jack Klein Jr.

Great story Uncle Jack and good on you for sharing your pride of Chet's courage and perseverance, and now his academic achievement. It'd be cool if he got a job with an MX graphics company.

Was my favorite guy to watch at the local tracks when I was on 50s and 60s. I still remember him always pulling the front end up way high off the jumps and then tapping the back brake. In the early 90s when I was just a kid, that was THE COOLEST thing. Glad to hear Chet is doing well.
