He was going for the win, probably the most surprising performance of the night. Hope he keeps it up because he makes the races more exciting when he's on form.

Think he had vision problems which is normal in those conditions. He tried to take his goggles off over one of the triples. Overall got great starts and looked very smooth and in control.
Excited to see what the season holds.

Had pressure from behind and he knew he had to push and get around Deano if he wanted a chance for the win. He took a risk and it failed. He was running great. Looking forward to how his season goes.

Most impressive looking guy on a red bike tonight as far as I'm concerned. Came up a little short but had the speed for sure. Looked to be in shape too.

I think he made a honda look fast and honestly thats all that matters, if you can put a honda in the top ten for a lap of a professional main, you as a rider are doing ok in life.

Just like Hill last year, I think he would have been able to pass him that lap somewhere else had he been a little more patient.

Mookie Fever is back!!! He had a great ride at A1 even though he made that mistake trying to pass Wilson for the lead. He could have won tonight but the track conditions caused mistakes by most of the riders. Looking forward to a dry race next week to see how Mookie does. I hope he is going to do have a good season because he makes the races a lot more exciting.

He saw the chance to take the lead and went for it, it didn't work out but his ride was fantastic! He would've easily got on the podium without the tip over.

Didn’t surprise me, first strong off season and secure ride since his championship. I can be biased when it comes to Malcolm, super pumped for him.

No, it was far from a stupid mistake. In fact it was a superb and balsy, but not wreckless attempt, and attempts like this are one of the main reasons people watch this sport. It would be pretty boring if riders didn't try to push the envelope a little and were complacent in the positions they were in, and had that corner not been so slick he would have made it and i for one think far more of him for trying that pass cuz it was killer.

He was incredible to watch and I was vety surprised to see Mookie challenging Deano for the win.
At first I tried not to get over excited, as I expected him to fade badly, but he surely proved that both the fitness, and the speed is on point.
Awesome ride by Malcolm, great racing at A1.
I am superpumped about the season opener!

Great ride and still some improvement to be made... He will agree he belongs on the top and then you might see even better result. He was for sure riding his heart out when he wanted to take the lead, but the rain kept on falling....

More impressed with his fitness. If he can ride like that in the mud for 95% of last night's race, then he has definitely not just been sitting on the couch.
