Bubba's World Pod

Edited Date/Time 3/11/2022 12:56pm
Hey Guys, anyone else have a hard time listening to Bubba's World Pod?? I listen to a lot of pods and its a hard listen. He seems very erratic, forgets half the riders names.
But then I listen to episode 4 with guest Daniel Blair, and all has changed for me. The show was 1000x better, good stories, the whole episode flowed better, much more insight. I hope he keeps this style of "Bubba's" world moving forward.
I prefer James in this type of setting more than him trying to put on his acting face/voice and trying to be someone who he isnt.

The race recaps can be a little rough but they flow better if you have the race on while he is watching it.

The regular pods that come out once a month or so are getting better

Give James some time to find his style. He’s 10x better than I was expecting and he’s only been doing it for a couple months.

Same thing happened on this last one with Blair. Roger started to tell the story of what happened between Mookie and JA in the pits and they got side tracked by James talking about the time he kicked Reeds bike over. They never went back to the story.

Come on, y'all are complaining about getting hours of content from arguably the most talented dude to ever ride? He's just getting his footing, I think he's doing great already, though. He might need a bit more topic discipline, but his intelligence while discussing racing and riding is second-to-none in my opinion.

I love the podcast. I think he is doing great. I haven't listened to the one with Daniel but Blair has a calmness to him that probably helped James mellow down to Daniel's state.

Go back and listen to the first 5-10 episodes of the pulpmx live shows or podcasts.

It's a progression. He's honestly made massive improvements in just a month or so, even from like episodes 2 to 3 (or 4). He's doing really good. I really think he has insights and views of the sport that are not really known - someone who has the highest of expectations at all times, almost mythical. It's very interesting to hear his point of view on a lot of this and I think he's getting better every episode.

I always enjoy listening to James, other than his insertion of the word "like" every four words or so.
