Damn, we were just talking about this. One of the guys here at work drove by it last night after it happened and saw a lot of the carnage. That sucks.

Terribly sad.

Bruce's life hasn't been easy. I can only hope he's got a lil' bit more inner-strength than the rest of us from the hardships had to survive along the way.

I grew up racing and hanging out with the penhalls, our families fit together pretty well, Ryan was my brothers age, Conner was mine, and our dads shot the shit.

The penhalls were an extremely hospitable family, with their trailer door open every weekend.

As the years passed we lost touch, as most people do. You grow up, start to work full time, get girlfriends, and just start to grow up in general. For that I am extremely bothered right now.

I wish the entire penhall strength in knowing that Conner was a great man, and affected a lot of people's lives in a positive manner.

That one's all over the news here in So. Cal. today. It's horrible news no matter the circumstances, but hearing that the driver was allegedly very intoxicated, and also tried to flee the scene makes it all the more disturbing.

So brutal. I was surprised how blase and flippant a lot of SoCal people I have met have been about drink driving. There is a real stigma to it here in the UK, its something to be ashamed of.. didn't see much of that stigma in San Diego.

Rest in peace. Looks like a shredder too.
