What kind of tires are you running? I have some Mitas tires and do some winter mx up here in Michigan.

They are a lot of fun, and it gives you something to look forward too, with our long winters here.

racerx217, I run studded tires that I built myself. I used 1 3/4" Tapcon concrete screws with a 1/4"-20 nut jammed on with an impact wrench. They work great, and seem to be lasting.

I followed this video to make them:

They used a liner material and tubes, but I use old Michelin bib mousse and they work great.

The only negatives to these tires are that you scratch the heck out your garage or workshop floor moving the bike around, and I have also trashed several pants walking by the bike and catching my pant leg on it!

Same here! That ice was camouflaged as dirt. Never run Broome in the winter without studs unless you like being on the ground a lot.
