He was doing so well. Especially considering it's his 1st year in the 450 class.
Does the H&H Kawasaki team have anybody still healthy enough to ride?

YOU’RE LAST TWO RACES HAVE BEEN TOUGH FOR YOU. HOW DO YOU HIT THE “RESET” BUTTON? “Man, it was embarrassing. My last DNQ (Did Not Qualify) was in ’08 at Daytona and to do it again there last weekend just sucked. But you have to get back on the bike and ride again this weekend and forget about last week or the week before. Our bikes have been good. I feel solid on the bike. I just need to put together a consistent ride and get into a rhythm. Last week was a survival race; I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. I’m not happy how I rode.”
HOW ARE YOUR PHYSICALLY? “I’m banged up a bit. I’ve got some issues with my foot that isn’t allowing me to ride during the week and train. It’s pretty sore. A lot of guys are banged up this time of the season. You just have to not let it be an excuse and dig through it.”
ON RACING AT INDY THIS WEEKEND? “I’m stoked to get on the bike and prove that last weekend was a fluke. I know I’m a better rider than that and it’s up to me to make it happen.”
Sad. Just sad.

THE QUOTE: KYLE REGAL ON JOINING H&H RACING
“I’m really excited. I rode Daytona on my own and to have an opportunity to ride for Carey (Hart) is huge. I’m really excited about the bikes and equipment, all my sponsors, Dodge, for giving me this opportunity. I’ve been out with an injury and coming back now is sooner than I expected. At the same time, I need to go out and ride and prove myself to a new team.”

JOSH HANSEN (No. 100 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki)

KYLE REGAL (No. 36 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki)
INDY IS YOUR FIRST RACE WITH THE HART AND HUNTINGTON TEAM. IT MUST BE AN EXCITING WEEKEND FOR YOU? “I’m really excited. I rode Daytona on my own and to have an opportunity to ride for Carey (Hart) is huge. I’m really excited about the bikes and equipment, all my sponsors, Dodge, for giving me this opportunity. I’ve been out with an injury and coming back now is sooner than I expected. At the same time, I need to go out and ride and prove myself to a new team.”
YOU HAVE 16 CAREER RACES IN THE 450-CLASS, WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND? “Make the Main and challenge for a win. I’d be bummed if I weren’t inside the top 10. I use to ride the red bikes, but now I’m on the Kawasaki. It’s going to be interesting. I’ve had a chance to ride the Kawasaki’s for a few days and still kind of learning the bikes. The quicker that I can get consistent on it, the faster the better I’ll be,”
HOW TOUGH OF AN ADJUSTMENT IS IT TO GO FROM THE HONDA TO A KAWASAKI? “I thought that it was going to be hard because I never rode the Kawasaki before. Over the last few days, we switched a lot of stuff on the bike and I really feel comfortable on it already. I just need to get on the race track and see how it feels from there.”
I can't help but begin to root for the guy.
Let alone any SX track.

I've never liked it when a rider skips the Nationals.

Thanks GuyB. But I was referring to the third grade level spelling and punctuation errors.
I just hope he doesn't injury himself even more though. The dude surpassed my expectations so far this year and I think he could have finished close to fifth in points had he not had the mechanical and the bad race at Daytona.
Lets hope he finishes the series strong.
