And he beat David Bailey who was riding the Water-cooled Works Honda 500 while Glover was riding the air cooled antique production YZ490, that is by far the most amazing thing about Glover. Cool
Exactly has seemed like one of the genuine good guys in this sport for damn near half a century and beating Bailey and those works Hondas on a pos 490 is a monumental achievement

He did an admirable job. I wish they'd reveal more of the secret shit, ya know like exact settings changed on suspension, and other hushed stuff. Eli's mechanic did a bit.

Very calm. Even when the racing was intense, he never got hyped.

He’s got a hell of a memory still too. He was a guest host on WTS when they had LaPorte on.

Knew from his pods he'd be good, always good stories and he's very measured.

Also – we gotta appreciate Weege, just swapping in and out with people is pretty cool, he's bloody good at what he does.

According to what he told me today...he's been asked to do more rounds. And he is also doing the Dunlop gig...busy man.

Great coverage.
Exactly. Anyone who’s ever met Broc knows that talking is not a problem for him, and he’s always been a student of the sport. I’d love to see him back for the TBD round 11 gig.

Heck yeah!! Broc is doing really , really good for his first one. Super knowledgeable dude right there. One of my childhood heros too.
Broc has done a few MXGPs with Malin prior to this, so it's not his first time.

With those, and this, he's been brilliant.

He's an intelligent, articulate, informative bloke!

How many years (decades?) has he been working with Dunlop?

Yep, if that is the first go, imagine how good he would be with some reps under his belt!

I know this is Vital, home of the random and often hilarious down-vote so I've never questioned them, but I assume it's the same guy giving all these pro-Broc posts a single thumb down?

What is your beef, the guy is a legend?

I see downvotes and just laugh at how pathetic that person must be.

Would be a lot more credible if they weren't anonymous wouldn't they, if you can stand by your thumbs up, you should be able to stand by your thumbs down haha.

I down voted both of you ^^ for bitching about down votes in an otherwise positive thread

I really appreciated Glover's calm and smooth delivery and relevant information on the broadcast. Kind of the opposite of Ralph.

It was nice having him in the booth! Also very much enjoyed his supercross track walks with Adam Enticknap this year. Wish they did the same for motocross.

I’m way too young to know much shit about Broc or what he’s done in racing outside of the basics but I have to say I really enjoyed him in the booth. It’s cool to see a guy that raced that long ago have points and experience that are so relevant to racing today. I hope we get him calling races much more often, one of my favourites so far

Broc is as good if not better than David Bailey.

I remember Broc at the Buchanan national in the late 70s. It was a mudder. My rusty memory wants to say he was injured and not racing. But what I do remember clear as day was he had a puke blue/green Ford Fairmont rental car and he found an open field somewhere away from the track and him and his buddy were sliding that poor piece of shit Farimont around in the mud for what seemed like forever. It was hilarious. So Broc, when you read this thread, give my post a thumbs up! Haha. He was awsome in the booth, just a solid personality and a good guy. I wish hannah would cut him some slack too! Smile

His knowledge was good, but the enthusiasm and excitement dept was lacking imo it's like it was a calm quiet golf announcer or something, not my fav but that's alright.

He is also criminally underrated, guy has the second most MX championships at 6. Mixed with how great he did today and his continued contributions, Broc is seriously a living legend.
Broc has six championships minus Let Brock Bye. That one belonged to LaPorte.

He was a great competitor and a very good commentator.

Named my son after the Golden Boy.

Dude killed it on the broadcast. All others take note, thats how its done. Also love that he is a fan of the sport. “I want to stand up, I am standing up” awesome!

Broc is still deeply embedded in the industry. He spearheads Dunlops operation if I'm not mistaken and is in tune with everything from the young up and comers to todays superstars.

Anybody that can hang with Bailey while on a POS YZ490 and actually beat him a few times can do anything well.
